Bollywood actors are more important than these slanty eyed actors in Nepal. Jackie Chan also gave some money earlier. Seriously, who in Nepal watch their movies? Michelle Yo? Who the hell is she? will be the answer to most people.
Let us keep making the Bollywood actors rich even though they don't give a shit about us.
LOL!

Just because actors didn't care about earthquake victims doesn't mean we need to abandon watching their movies. They are entertainers, not social workers.

I am a business major and I ask this question to myself, when was the last time I helped victims in Sudan? Especially when a sudanese guy is friends with me.

Michelle Yoh's effort is commendable, props to her. But that doesn't mean every Hollywood or Bollywood actors are entitled to help us. I believe it doesn't make anyone less human if they choose not to help, but if they are inhumane, that is a whole different story. Don't you think?

Yea, you are right. We as a nation make the Bolllywood rich. From TV, movies to sports, India earn a lot of money from Nepal. So you are saying that they have no responsibility ethically/spiritually/emotionally (not business) to help us when we need it. Seriously?
Oh BTW, we have no idea about Sudan and its movie stars, they are not even near us. Your example does not make sense. You were simply cheap to not help your friend in need if they had a disaster situation, don't justify your cheapness with scientific proof. LOL

My apologies, maybe if I am incorrect, but it sounds a little absurd that a handful of Nepalese people actually make Bollywood rich, maybe I need to revert to my statistical lessons once again. We are certainly helping, but the revenue garnered from our minuscule population might not be enough for Bollywood to survive.

And my analogy wasn't entirely out of place, we were talking about help, not an exchange, just becasue we do not watch sudanese movie doesn't mean we should ignore them, should we?

I have been following your posts closely, and I respect your stance on loving our nation and calling India evil. But I do not understand why, just because we accuse India of hegemony doesn't mean we need to call every Indians name.

By the way where was Rajesh Hamal when there was an earthquake in Gujrat?

I love love love India and Indians, but I hate Nepali people wasting time and money on cheap Bollywood crap. That's all the anger and hate that I have of India, nothing more.
It is not about if the sum adds up to make Bollywood reach, it is about how much of our revenue (ok it is not much) is wasted on garbage entertainment.
I'm pretty sure Rajesh Hamal doesn't watch Gujrati movies either.
Where was Salman Khan when it happened in Haiti?
Did Amitab Bachhan do anything to the Japanese during the Tsunami?
Should we go on playing this cat and mouse game?

I don't understand people defending Bollywood actors, esp a Nepali when we are witnessing their unwillingness to send a cent to Nepal during such crisis? This statement has nothing to do with Indian people and Indian culture.

Maybe I wasn't clear the first time. We aren't defending anyone. I could care less. All I am saying is just because we volunteer to watch their movies doesn't essentially mean they have to help us. Would be nice, I agree, but we cannot blame them for not helping us.

I rarely watch bollywood movies. I may have watched probably 5 movies in last 5 years. I even do not know names of new stars and I do not care about them too.
They are actors and they are not obligated to make donation to our country. It's their wish. I never praised them or blame them for their action. They did not come to your door step begging to watch their show and movies. You volunteered to watch their movies. You do not have right to hate them just because they denied helping Nepal during this earthquake. It's their hard earned money and they can do whatever they want with their money. I don't know why are we treating them like our family when they clearly showed that they do not belong to us physically and emotionally.

Also before you expect any help from them, did any of our actor or celebrities or you helped indian people when disaster occurred? If not then STFU and keep on watching "Ghar Ghar ki Kahani". Stop whining!
