Looking at your grammar, I don't think you will make it to a school. So don't worry about it.

@jyure I believe @neerman answered most of the questions.. But I would like to point out one thing. TPS is not a status so you will still have F2 as your status. And F2 visa does not allow you to be a full time students. This is something you will have to talk to school on how to approach it. And if you do need to change your status to F1 even with TPS or may be they will allow you to take full time classes as F2 with TPS. I say this because for F1 with TPS, students are allowed to take less than full time classes after letting the school know that you are on TPS & also work on EAD but they do have to follow every other rules for F1. But for F2 the rules are opposite which is they are not allowed to take full time classes. So I would confirm with the school. @neerman please comment if you know more about correlation between F2 status and TPS status.

Agreed , as a matter of fact I would say just transfer to F1 start taking the class and after that let the DSO know that you have TPS and you qualify for reduced course load. That will give you flexibility interms of how many classes you can take in a sem.

OK, I missed the gap between F2 and TPS. While on F2, you can apply for F1. So, get admission to any college , they issue I-20 and help you apply for CoS (Change of status) to F1 with all supporting documents. but getting F1 approved is completely under USCIS decision. If its approved, then let DSO know that you have TPS and they will reimburse the the tution fee as you are eligible for in-state tuition fee. However, there is a problem with TPS under F1. Unless you apply for hardship, you are suppose to take full credit course and if you use EAD through TPS, your F1 status is on HOLD and you have to re-instate F1 once TPS is expired. Really a grey area but keep an eye on the SEVIS if your F1 status is still intact. Usually College Admission officer maintain the SEVIS for you.

If people have been granted TPS, went to nepal in advane parole and come back, they can still apply for re-registraion. Neerman, where did you see that going to nepal will void reregistration?

neerman , I disagree on the second part. Please take a look at the registrars notice for F1 student with TPS benefits. There is no gray area. After you get into F1 , when you request TPS related benefits for reduced course load to your DSO, you don't lose the F1 status or is on hold. Reduced course load is a benefit not from TPS but from this https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2015/11/09/2015-28360/employment-authorization-for-nepali-f-1-students-experiencing-severe-economic-hardship-as-a-direct However the reduced course load is upon DOS's discretion.

@fdpower I think @neerman is saying if you don't notify DSO. Basically he is saying your F1 status would be revoked. But that is not the case. You do have to apply for hardship to drop below full time but Universities have made it easier where you just fill in the form and the ISO should let approve it within few days. This is based on experience of mine and my friends. But that is a good point, you do have to notify DSO before dropping below full time.

Yeah, if you reduce your course from full credit, you have to inform the DSO and apply for economic hardship, then only your F1 status will be maintained. Just getting TPS approved does not allow you to enjoy the benefits of reduced course load. See this- Are experiencing severe economic hardship as a direct result of the damage caused by the earthquake of April 25, 2015. So, do not get confused, better talk to the DSO.

oh cool, I misunderstood then. btw I sent my package yesterday for Friday delivery. I had everything ready on Monday but did want to overkill it. One thing that frustrated me was Walgreens trying to charge me 30 bucks for 4 copies of pp photos. I'm like fish you ...I went ahead and took my own pic with a DSLR , photoshopped it and printed that 2X2 on 4X6 paper on the same Walgreens for $2

well, if you know Photoshop, you can make 2x2 photos in 4x6 size for 6 pcs. Simple and it cost 75 Cent in CVS.

from CyBro, If people have been granted TPS, went to nepal in advane parole and come back, they can still apply for re-registraion. Neerman, where did you see that going to nepal will void reregistration? My answer: What I mean is if your TPS was not granted before and went to Nepal, then you will not be eligible for registration this time. Seems you are confused.

@fdpower haha did the same.. but I checked and rechecked my applications yesterday before sending found 1 error after another.. i had printed 4 copies of the the forms by the final copy. good thing I did though.. I'm hoping my application gets there tomorrow during early day then may be it ll be one of the first in line like yours :) @neerman did the same.. u can just upload ur 2x2 to different websites that ll convert it to 4x6.. have been doing it from last year rather than pay 20-30 for the same thing :)
