creating this threads for people who are interested in refinancing. Let's share each other's rate and possibly the lender's details if the rate is lower. The lowest I am getting currently(after discussing with couple of lenders), I am getting @ 2.75% for 30 years with 0 closing cost and 2.375% for 15 years with 0 closing cost Similarly, 2.625% if I pay closing cost which is $3800 for 30 years and 2.125 for 15 years with same closing cost. My loan amount is around 445K How about yours? Also, Normally, I do check the current rate at http://www.mortgagenewsdaily.com/mortgage_rates/daily.aspx and the rate you would expects from different lenders is around 0.15-0.25 less than what is listed in this site. That's my observation after doing research couple of months

I think the rate depends on where you live? What state do you live in, Sajha Keto?

The rate I am referring to is for Virginia. One of my friend got same rate for MD as well. So, location should not matter much, rather it would have matter with your profile, earning, loan amount etc

2.75%, really! Normally, the mortgage lenders show one rate to advertise and offer you a higher rate when you contact them. They give the reason for the different rate as their credit score, state where they live in and blah blah...

SK, since you are in the market, I'm certain you've been doing some research on home prices. What's your finding? Has covid affected house prices much?

If you post the lender’s name here then others can take an advantage as well.

According to Black's Law Dictionary, "Mortgage" means PAY UNTIL YOU DIE!
