Nice work Swaati, Zorte ko woralo, Argeli ko phat would add spice to the pictures. Yes, Tanseen is developing, they better find sustainable solution to water scarcity and waste disposal. Sense, you know people from Bartung, like our singer brother's relatives and others (you know who I am talking about). Srinager is now like a little fortress, because of the realy tower and its security need. Whatever, Palpa swings, and it is even pleasent as it is gateway to my ancestral place.

nice pics, swaati!!! i had been to tansen 12 yrs back... then, we were on a tour... stayed near the tansen buspark for a night.... went to shrinagar and tansen hospital... saw narayan mandir on the way back.. obviously, tansen is one of the most beautiful places in nepal... similar is Dhankuta Hiley... well, just curious, people: Does the Ranimahal have anything to do with the Ridi durbar mentioned in the movie, Prempinda (which is a fiction of course)... I dont if it is true, but once i heard that all the pine trees at srinagar dada were to be cut down.... is that true? i hope it is not....

1)No way its a place name well that ramdi bridge is over kali gandaki but have u notice the water flow of river its stoo small rit. its like that cuz of Kali gandaki hydro elcetricity power. B4 it used to be huge now even 11-12 yrs old kid cross the river easily but it becoms big after Galyang. 2) Yes Bhinaju that pic was taken from up in sky but not from aeroplane its from Glider the normal one not that with small twin engine. Yeah Rani Mahal is rana kaalin darbar. 3)Galaab, Ranimahal and Ridi Darbar is different, Rani mahal is in ranighat Cherlung. Its border of palpa and syangja and syangja side in known as kaalipaar. Where as Ridi Darbar is in Argheli. There is some more difference Ranimahal is made by Shree 3 Khadag Sumsher for his beloved wife its called nepali Tazmahal. Its built on the huge rocks by river side of kaali gandaki.Unfotuantely Khadar Sumsher really didn't get chance to live there with his wife cuz his wife died b4 that, he indeed spent his secluded last years of his life. Basically he built ranimahal so that he could spend his last time with his wife near Ganga. remind here kaali gandaki is also known as sacred river. He didn't want to go Kashi or Haridwar for his last days. Now Ridi Darbar belongs top Juddha Sumsher. Basically u may have heard Prem Pinda is based on flings of Judda Sumsher and u may know the real existance of Ridi Durbar. 4) Dear Kaale Bhoot yeah this pic was taken after Ranimahal was renovated. It would have been done more on that process but sorry state and beaurocracy of Puratatwas Bhibhag of nepal its done but uncomplete. Basically it was done by local ppls effort and by lil of gov help.

Of course utabata herda hami Kalipare, yatabata herda uniharu Kalipare! I remember the song "kali paare dai kati ramro Dhaka topi kandhaima galbandi... ... ...!" Ani sabai janaa Maghe Sakranti nuhaauna jane Ramdi Ghat tyahi hola ni hai? I wonder why palpali_gaunle is quiet... ... ...Swati Jeeko naso ajhai swaikare jasto chhaina baa... ... ...Sabaile khaidiisaklan. >Guulab Euta Prem pinda Film matra herera hunchha? DeepBlue, Yes I'm from Shyangja. But neither from Shyangja Putali bazzar nor from Waling.

lau lau lau, thank you for all of the wonderful pictures! of course, now i am more nostalgic and homesick than ever! i consider myself blessed to have lived in palpa. it is such a beautiful place and the people of palpa, like most people in nepal, tend to be incredibly warm, giving, hard-working, and light-hearted. there is a lot of jilla pride in palpa too. it truly is such an amazing place! unfortunately, when i went to ranighat durbar, it was in bad condition. this was probably a little over a year ago. it hadn't been renovated and people had written graffiti all over the interior and exterior of the building. it was a shame. and although it is an impressive building in a very impressive location, it is nothing like the taj mahal! oh, and dada giri, i have been quiet because i was hanging out with family for the thanksgiving weekend and didn't have much access to a computer. no other reason.

PG Bro, The song I mentioned is different you mentioned, I think. It's an old Nepali Folk song by Mira Rana ( I think). Arko pani chha, बाखरी डोर्याउँदे ल्यायो ! काली पारे जम्दारको छोराले!! यसको गायकको नाम भने मलाई याद भएन। ऊही दादा गिरी
