Sebsonline was censored. I won't be surprised if Sajha.com will be censored soon. The admin has cleary said he won't, but what if His Majesty's Government of Nepal threatens him. Or they might just not allow access to Sajha.com from Nepal. Lets see.

Next few weeks or months will be very exciting with Gyane's new programs, then things will get back to normal. Corruption will resume!! Mark my word. When the army started to help out on Customs, it was getting better, only time was to tell, when the Buisinessmen (and Big Buisiness Houses we are so eagarly supproting Gyane) start to give tokens of offering to Armymen-- the rampant corruption in the Army for supply of goods and ration is a live example. In a year, we will have a country which can't be fixed by anyone, then we will come to senses that the country has to be built by us, the Janata. The ones who are so eagarly hoping for Gyanendra's magic wand to fix all the problems, they will sta rt saying democracy is indeed the ultimate answer. Can you be spoonfed forever, I hope what we have learned in the last 12-15 years of democracy will be fresh with us when the time comes to revitaminize democracy, so that we the people understand that the leaders we choose are for us to keep or throw and not the vice-versa. Ok back to Sebsonline.org. Rrequest from SEBS, Nepal, which is by the way run by "chamchas" of Paras Shah, to close down any Anti-Monarchy statements in the discussion forum has caused sebsonline.org to stop democracy in their web-forum. I am sure, 100% sure, that San, our adminstrator will be contacted by the Royal Army of Nepal to close down this site or only allow sentiments that are inline with the goverment of Nepal. I am hopeful that the Adminstrator will not agree to the pressure.

I don't see Sajha censoring anything. But I think they might already have blocked the site in Nepal. Any info on that front? On SEBS self-censorship: Self-Censorship Is A Pathetic Development Paramendra Bhagat 2/9/2005 9:22:06 PM EST I think this is a major major mis-step. Free speech is by definition without guidelines. And take away the forum, and hardly any SEBSer will ever go visit the site. You are taking the community theme out, then what's left? An average SEBSer does not really care two hoots about the Ex-Com, no offense. To most SEBSers, the online forum has been their only connection to SEBS. Take that away, and what is left? SEBS as an organization is non-political, and has to be, because we are going to have SEBSers in all sorts of political camps. Heck, we even have Maoist SEBSers. But because SEBS is non-political, it also has no right to go around telling SEBSers what they may or may not talk about. SEBS does not, may not, dare not do that thinking on behalf of SEBSers. I hereby express my disagreement. In the meantime, if anyone would like to take the discussion to a forum I created a long time ago, I would be more than happy to get the traffic diverted my way: http://sebs.motime.com I will need your email address to send you an invite.

I thought Parmendra was a SEBS member. If true, then why is he spitting venum in his fellow members on this Sajha forum. To be honest we care the least about what they do in their organization and/or forum. Specially when it comes from a person who "spits on the plate he ate".

If the same plate Paramendra was eating on was used to feed the dogs, you start to spit on it, you don't eat from the same plate. Get It!!

Just read the thread on sebsonline.org. I do not agree with curbing free speech but it seems like SEBS has an offline office in Kathmandu and apparently they are concerned about the safety of the members there. How real is the threat though?
