It could be just me, but I couldn't figure out the background of Prachanda alias Puspa Kamal Dahal in the pre-maoists era. Everyone knows the details on Dr. Baburam Bhattarai. I would like to know what Prachanda was before being so prominent and dominating in Maoists' Party. I appreciate everyone for all the info.

short Circuit, The only thing I know is he is from Chitwan and went to RAMPUR CAMPUS so your best bet is to go to IAAS link which i saw here a month ago and ask them. They might tell you in Detail. Some of them might be his cllasmate... Good Luck

From a News article: Prachanda talks about the "intellectuals" like they were foreign tourists. Baburam talks about them as a group he belongs to. Within an any good political party, both level people must need (1) grass root level and (2) Intellectuals. It is like (1) Scientist and (2) Engineer. Scientists create complex imagination and theory, and Engineers implement practically.
