I have noticed an escalation of animosity and resentment towards Indians from Nepalis recently. It seems that if the Indians try to insinuate something even to the most marginal degree, Nepalis are quick to jump on the offensive. I don't know if it is some sort of insecurity or just bent up frustration towards a perceived Indian selfishness and arrogance, but the hate seems to be spreading like wildfire around here. If there is such genuine disdain, I would suggest a lot of Nepalis to “PLEASE STOP WORKING FOR INDIANS.†You cannot escape the fact that a lot of Nepalis have worked or are still working for and with Indians at various capacities. If you have so much useless "pride" amongst yourselves that you cannot diverge or materialize into producing something much more of value, then stop working for Indian small businesses and Pakistani Gas Stations. That gives these guys more reasons to have a perverse sense of perception about us. .

>>They are solely responsible for trafficking of girls from Nepal to Bombay and other Indian cities Dont make fun of yourself while trying to bash someone. Next you will say that rivers are flowin from north to south because of 'cheating by indians in treaty'. Get a life.

>>> But i have no shame in saying that attitude of most of the indians (apart from those friends) towards nepal has been downgrading and overbeering which certainly i cannot resist. Thats why i have a dislike in general for the indians. I dont like attitude of indians either. But frankly whom do you hate more indians or indian like nepalis(madhishe)?

Good Point Alam These bloody neaplese of Indian kind are worst of all. A fine sculptured example is this bloody Rudra Prasad Ullu ka Pathu. I think these bloody bahuns the real Indian like Nepalese that is the problem and should be classed as Madhysssssssssssssss suckers. I don't think it has anything to do with the proper indians. Jealousy is always there because Indian is a big country and lots of influence on others. Same with the US everybody is intimidated by this country. This is human nature. I think low sudra caste of biharis are more better of then these Indian like Nepalese. Forget about comparing them to the proper bhramans in bhiar infact whole of India.

Whenever I have been in problems, I have been helped by Indians. I can give many examples but I don't want to give my personal details here. They are qualified, decent and don't think bad about Nepal. There are many who regard Pashupati Nath as their sole god. That said, I am not implying that all Indians look towards Nepal and Nepalis fairly. The point is individual experience can not be used to generalize any country. If you are not lucky, it can be possible you meet only those thugs who give you the same bad impression all the time. That doesn't mean that all people are like that.

"But i have no shame in saying that attitude of most of the indians (apart from those friends) towards nepal has been downgrading and overbeering which certainly i cannot resist. Thats why i have a dislike in general for the indians" YEah ok...but what about the attitutdes of Nepalis towards Indians? It ain't that pleasant either. We can think and say whatever we want but at the end of the day, the world listens to India and not to Nepal. We are perceived in a far more inferior light in the International Community, so forget about what India thinks. What does the world think in general about Nepal?

It is not only for Nepalese, Indians among themselves have this sort of opinions for their same countrymen, mostly regionwise. The only thing that binds them together is cricket and Bollywood to certain aspect. For many Indians (NI), Nepalese if they can speak Hindi rae taken in, though some remarks about Badhurs, Manisha, Kancha, Royal gosships do come into fore during events. Southeners are more friendly, in my opinion. Whatever, it reminded me of one such query by my cricket team mate, when he aksed me "why entrepreneurialism is so negligible among Nepalese in South Asian context"?, honestly speaking I had no answers: Can anyone give me some reasons, if his concern or whatever it is true?

I think that is a genuine question, and the answer to that is the tyranny and oppression that Nepalis encountered during the Rana and Absolute Monarchy days. This set the country very back in time and it couldn't keep up with the rest of the world. However, that is changing slowly, and I think with political stability and a growing sense of community and nationalism you will see a different breed up Nepalis, equipped with the the necessary tools in their arsenal to compete in areas like entrepreneurships and many other sectors as well. The country is growing up and out of Feudalism. Unlike China where feudal lords and land ownership issues are still alarming factors that skeptics feel could derail the communist nation, Nepal has size to its advantage. What I am trying to say is that instead of looking at size and geographic locality as a disadvantage we should look at it from a "cup half full" point of view. That is going to require development, recruitment and maturity of Intellect.

The Nepalese politicians are also to be blamed. Sher Bahadur Deuba or Makune are giving interviews to Zee TV in "tuteko phutkeo" hindi as if they have no knowledge about English (or at least interpreted) language. Neighbor envy will always be there, but one thing I find from Bollywood is how they make mockery of Chinese, Pakistanese and Nepalese. As AP98 says, it is not Indians that Nealese detest it is the Indian policy towards a neighboring landlocked country that should be corrected.

I dont like the UP people... south people are friendly but again they have very low GK many of them even dont know that lucknow is in UP or dehradun is in uttranchal etc... forget about Nepal except some 'pashupati nath temple ' or 'royal massacare'... Given a chance I surely would like to be with my own people... Yup I dont like indians very much in general. But putting blame of every problem of nepal on indians is just 'defeatist' mentality... you just want to escape your responsibility and your poor contribution to nepal. My suggestion. Draw line somewhere stop it when your feelings about any country race or religion start sounding like madness... Only country for which general indians have ill-will is pakistan and to some extent china too... most of them have no clue about how neplese feel about indians... And except some hyper-rastrabadis who even hate people not belongin to their caste... most neplese people would never give shelter to say a terrorist wanting to kill indians even though they might have largely anti-indian views... To sum up. Relationship between neplese and indians is mixture of both love and hate just like any other relationship on planet earth...

I think Indians in Nepal are like the Europeans who came to the States. Both those 'races' took over the resources of the indigenous population because the natives couldn't stop them. Us Nepalese can complain all we want, but they are better equiped and are taking over the country. What could the native americans do to the better equiped Eurpoeans with their wiley ways? More and more the Nepalese economy is at the mercy of Indian businessmen and more and more Nepalese are dependant on these Indians for jobs.

Thugged OUt, khai email ta aayena....anyway no worries. Homeyji, you make a good point. Indians are much better equipped, more hard working and resourceful on an aggregate scale, but that isn't a big deal. Nepali people's biggest problem is this Indian Bashing. Let Indians develop at their own pace and Nepal take its own course, you can only compete against yourself in the end. We should, at least for now worry mostly about "in house" cleaning and upgrading.
