Citizenship to children having foreign father?
Kathmandu, 2 June: The decision made by the House of Representatives to provide citizenships from the mother’s name has been appreciated from most of the societies since it will facilitate those children whose biological father is not identified, whereas some societies have shown serious a concerns about this matter, writes Janadharana weekly.
These societies have serious concerns regarding the following matter as it would increase the population rate of Nepal if the government is also planning to provide this provision to those children with a foreign father since, the Nepali women with a foreign husband would give birth to their children in Nepal.
