does anyone know if we can bring back khukuri as presents in the luggage.. i want to bring some but i dont want to get into trouble.. Please let me know if you have done so.. thanks.

If you don't want to end up on CNN, don't carry your khukuris on your carry on or handbag.

But is it okay to have them in your suitcase?

we don't want to see you on CNN like we did when Deepak Gurung in chicago boarding a flight to Omaha NE was in trouble carrying couple of khukuris and bunch of swiss knife back in 2002.

As far as I know, if you lock them up in the luggage that you will check in, it will be fine.

Plus the flight rule keep changing day by day and its hard to tell you what to do. Now they have terror flight alert so some kind of B.S

Nepalihottie, when I last came from Nepal to US 5 years ago, I did bring some khukuris with me. I also brought some khukuri rums. But I did not have any problems.

Thesedays because of terror alerts things might be different so you might want to update yourself more officially and formally than asking here and getting pulled over the side by the department of homeland security for carrying lethal weapons of mass destruction as it will probably be written in your arrest warrant.

I am pretty sure it is ok to bring khukuris from Nepal, as long as they are in Check-in luggage, not in carry-on.

Hottie the u can bring stuffs if u don carry it along urself, but if it is checked in as luggage its fine as far as i know.
