I was watching a news and i heard about the Limbuwan regions...Please can anybodi help me to understand what Limbuwan region means?? and what is the reason for Strike in north-eastern districts in Nepal??..
If anione knows about this then please let me know...it will be a great help....

as far as i understand, limbuwan is a part of nepal where majority of limbus live just like gurungs(tamus) in tamuwan, pakis in pakistan, tibetans in tibet, kazakhs in kazakhstan, afghanis in afghanistan etc..

Limbuwan region consists of discricts of Taplejung, Paanchthar, Ilam, Eastern Sankhuwasabha (East of Arun River), Terhathum and hilly regions of Jhapa and Morang districts.

Khambuwan region consists of districts of Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udayapur, Western Sankhuwasabha (West of Arun River) and hilly regions of Sunsari district (including Dharan / Itahari and surrounding areas).

I think diversity of Nepal is its own pitfall.

Anyone please tell me what would be the total population of Limbhuwan, if it will establish. My suggestion- first of all propagate as other ethnics, then lets see.

just for example, if mahila and dalits should be treated 'equally' then giving them 'priority' is not equality. If they are given priority, then it will be unfair to others ni. equality means equality, whoever can do good, gets the honey.

violence to end violence, opression to reduce oppresion does not make sense. either all should be water or all should be fire. If newars, madhesi, limbuwan, tharuwan, khumbuwan want their autonomous land, then Khas should also get their own autonomous land.

As far as I know, I have never heard bahun are talking about others like people blame bahun for everything in Nepal. There's one book written by some one I forgot. It's all about opportunity and tactfulness. At the same time, geographical distribution of different ethnic groups which is making some group ahead and some are led back. I also know bahun people can really work hard . I had a fren in college who topped the exam and others who seem pretty smart just got good marks. I am not supporting bahun here. It's all about equal treatment of people and state providing best possible options for those who need more supports than others. Division would not help anyone and all should be integrated to meet the need of Nepal and Nepalese people. There's no madhesi, limbu, rai, khas, tamang,Gurung or whatever.
