Nepal's one of the greatest child littérateur Mr. Jank Prasad Humagain has left for the heavenly abode. He was suffering from Cancer. My deepest sympathy to Nepali literarture and his family.

Late litterateur Janak Humagain's last rites performed

KATHMANDU, Feb 12 - The final rites of poet and pioneer of children's literature in Nepal, Janak Prasad Humagain was performed at Pashupati's Aryaghat Monday afternoon.

69-year-old Humagain, who was suffering from throat cancer for a long time, passed away at the Norvic Hospital in the capital last night.

Prior to his cremation, a memorial service his body was kept at Pragya Bhawan in Kamladi for last tributes till 1pm today after which it was taken to Aryaghat for the final rites.

Born in 1994 BS, Asoj 28 in Balthali-3 of Kavrepalanchowk, Humagain had published more than three dozens books, including poems, essays and children's literature.

Likewise, Humagain had also served as a member of the national anthem selection committee.
