I knew it wouldn't take long before a Nepali would appear on the "To catch a predator" episode of the Dateline, NBC. The show, in colaboration with "perverted justice" and local police catch average men (haven't seen woman yet) who engage in sexual chats with underage kids and even show up at their residence to have sex.

Today's episode showed a Nepali on it, it is still airing. I think the name was Vijay or something.

Down with entrapment! These cops should be actors in some third grade movies, and Chris Hansen should pimp his kids.

Agreed, the Dateline series is a little too aggressive. In the last episode, they showed how the story took a nasty turn when one of the accused killed himself when cops showed up to raid his house.
But, that doesn't mean the culprits should be tempted. This could have been a real underage minor and the predators could have succeeded. Although I think if they just chat but don't show up for the act, then they shouldn't be charged as heavily (charged nonetheless).

Dateline can't play holier-than-thou as they are doing this for ratings (beat American Idol) and a good story; hence are very aggressive. But the fact remains that the accused bought the trap and are guilty as charged.

I feel really bad for the Bista dude, but then seriously what the F was he thinking. He's seen the show, knows its wrong still drives 4 hours to have sex with a 13 year old. How stupidly pathetic is that .... jeez ~ So whats gonna happen to him ? He did plead not guilty but the case was referred to INS i suppose, so what next ? Is deportation enough for his acts ???

Do you guys know that a D. A. killed himself after cought with Dateline. It happened in TX. not too far from Dallas.

I have also watched the episod. The decoy is also trying to encourage the person to meet the 13/14 years girl/boy. It is for sure that the people who chat with decoy are aware of underage. But when it comes with the sex they became blind. SEX IS BLIND. Since decoy are inviting to meet the people through the chat room then people may go to see them, whatever be their intention.
I don't think Chris Hansen is catching the real sex predators.

D.A. means District Attorney. Yeah I saw that episode too, that DA guy probably realized that his world was over when he found out that he was going to be arrested. The police didn't even wait to lure him to meet the decoy, they took actions for the arrest immediately based on the transcripts of the chat.

Question begs, do these guys really have to pin those convicts down the way they show it in the TV?? Can't they ask them to lay down with their hands behind the back and then cuff them up?
