GRAND PRAIRIE -- An Arlington man died after an accident about 10:20 a.m. Sunday when his car smashed into the back of a sport utility vehicle while racing with another vehicle, police said. Grand Prairie police said Avinash Bajracharya, 22, was driving a 2007 Toyota Scion at a "very high speed" north on Texas 360 when it went out of control at Riverside Parkway. Police said the car was swerving through traffic when it ran into the rear of a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, spun, hit a retaining wall and flipped twice; the driver was thrown partway out. Bajracharya was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where he died at 12:22 p.m. The driver of the SUV, a 63-year-old Arlington man, was not injured. Anyone with information about the car the Scion was racing is asked to call the Police Department at 972-237-8906.
