Hey Dariwal,
Shave ur dari first

How to prepare my documnets to prove my work experince? what do u mean?....if u have worked then u must have work experince letter. there is no any format...

Do some research b4 asking help from ppl...information avilable at www.cic.gc.ca is sufficient to know what documnets u need.

Now, donot ask for sample work experince letters and other documents.

I got my Canadian Residency in 15 months. I just got it last week. If you file from US, I think you can still get your process done in 15-16 months.

For the work experience, I showed an old letter from my employer and copies of old pay stubbs. I had worked at that particular job for 5 years. But when I filed for my Canadian papers, I had left that job few months earlier. I didn't bother to go and ask them for a new one . I just sent the old one they wrote me when I made a trip to Nepal. (That letter was 3 years old.) I also sent my resume. That worked. I would suggest, if you can get your old employer/employers to write you a letter that would be superb. But if you can't (for some reason or the other), just send them the letter you signed when you started that job. It also helps to write a letter explaining why you can't get a letter from your old employer. Thats what I did.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi Ramaychowchow,

Could you share your experience regarding, interview - how to prove someone your kin in canada - and the proficiency of language etc. I am planning to apply soon. My Toefl score is six years old, will they accept it or should I get a new one again. Is there any way they settle for if you have good GPA in your post grad degree. Should you pay the processing fees etc right at the begining or later when they demand? what is the best payment method?
I would very much appreciate your detail response .
Cheers

even a fresh toefl doesnot work, you need to get IELTS
GPA is not significant, its the degree that you pass
you have to pay the application fee in the initial application

jhatka:

I didn't have to go to an interview... they waived it. If your major is in engineering or in similar field, they usually waive the interview. I am not sure how to prove your kin in Canada since I didn't do anything like that. For english language, they did ask me to send the proof. I wrote them a letter stating I did my undergraduate and graduate in US and was in English. I also attached an old copy of TOEFEL, the one I took in 1992 (14 years old). They accepted it. Regarding the fees: you have to pay the application fee when you submit the application. They require you to send Cashiers check (one you make at your local bank) or money order (from post office or bank). There is another fee - visa/landing fee. This one they will ask you later if your process is approved. If you want you can send it earlier with your application. Thats what I did. NOTE: If you are applying from US, you need to send the whole application package. You can't do the simplified one.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Does one have to go to Canada if the PR is approved.

Like I'm currently studying here @ US. I want to apply for PR. I dont want to go and study in canada but I want to have the PR for canada just by staying in US? Is this possible?

In other scenario
I am working here @ US and its been 1 year. I dont want to go to canada and work but I just want to be holding PR of canada so I can move when I get fade up here.

Can somebody please tell me all the solutions in detail that might come in handy.

dapu,

You can't just hold the PR of canada and stay outside forever. You must reside at least 2 out of first 5 years in Canada to keep the PR status. For the citizenship, it will take about 4 years (including the residency + citizenship application process) to get the citizenship. Once you have the Canadian citizenship, you can work in the US without a problem.
