Can anyone tell me if we can buy a brand new cell phone in the US to send to Nepal? I dont want to sign any service contract? How expensive is it? Please share if you have any knowledge. I appreciate it.

what make/model? Look it up online...My co-worker bought the RAZR (even though the RAZR is now old fashioned in tech terms) a few weeks ago on ebay. No service plans were necessary and he talked about how he saved about $50.

Samsara, I was initially thinking of getting it off craigslist. But I thought if I get a new cell for around $100 then it wasnt a bad deal. I will look around ebay too. Thanks for responding
