Guys

I'm working on CPT and its expiring this Feb along with my I-20 . Does anybody know schools that issue CPT

right away after joining their programs (if I transfer my Master's credits)?

The problem is that I'll be graduating this Feb (M.S. in computer Science)and my school is ready to extend it till

next year but I won't graduate in Feb if I extend my program and I want to apply in the advanced

degree cap H-1B this April.

I have a similar situation. I guess Kaplan GRE/GMAT would be the best and cheapest resource. Call them...

You get 2 months grace after Feb. so take I 20 from March to May and file for H1B premium in April. If you hear from them (INS, BCIS whatever) before May then you are saved. Else you have to extend Kaplan I20 for  3 more months. I am not sure if your H1B filing will be valid once you ask for I20 extension cause that will put you in both H1 and F1 status( since you will be applying for extension in July/Aug., which is after Apr.). Any opinion on that from Sajha experts would be helpful.

i think you can still apply for degree cap for H1B even you havenot yet finished your masters. i think if you have done more than 2 semester( almost 16+ credits). thats what i am planning to do. its my third semester and i am palnning to apply under degree cap. Well best thing is ask your or your employer's lawyer.

Can't you apply for OPT?? I think I-20 validity does not count for OPT. I had my OPT after I-20 expired.
