Hi all,

I am thinking about applying for Canadian PR. I was looking at their website and seems like they require recent police report (issued within 6 months). I have been here in US since 2003 and I have the old police report. Now the question is

Can I submit the old report (2003) and show that I have been in US since then?
If this works, what documents do I have to show them?

Only serious replies please.

Thanks

if you havenot been in nepal for more thatn 6 months after 2003, then old one should work

but you will need a FBI (or some kind of police) report from US

they will not refuse just because you didnot submit police report from nepal and they will most probably not ask you for submitting the new one, if they do it will be furthr down the line

so be confident and apply

Yes, as long as you submit police report from here (US) you will be fine, I believe.

I think you need police report from Nepal. I also thougtPolice report from Nepal is not required if you are living here from long time. I have been

living in US since 01. I told my relatives to get a report from there. The CIC website says you have

to contact your local embassy or Police office in Naxal to get a report. They are unaware about working

environment and system in Nepal. However, we have to make it if they ask.

Bengal Tiger, I had the same dillema but Ifinally decided to get one. Otherwise CIC will delay your process

and ask for report. So you better be ready with all documents they require.Review the website carefully.

Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone for the information.

Nepali1475, I had to submit finger prints when I got mine in 2003 and I believe the process is still the same. How did you send your finger prints?

Thanks

You need police report from all countries where you been for more than 6 monthes after 18 th birthday. For Nepal, if you have any relative you can send sacnned copy of you passport first page and both side of citizenship card. Then for instance your dad or mom also have show relationship with you (eg citizenship card) or some kind of proof. Also you need to send them when you page where you get exit stamp from Neapal. Then they  can get police report from either Gausala or Ratanapark.

Hopefully this will help you

You need police report form all countries where you been for more than 6 monthes including Nepal. If you want get police report from Nepal, first you need to send scanned copy of your passport, first two pages, copy of both pages of nagrikta and stamped page when you exit Neapal. If your dad or mom live in Nepal, they can take their nagarikta with them. They just have to prove you are their relative(son). Then either in gausala or ratanapark you can get your police report.

Hopefully this will help you
