Some common myths on asylum:
1. You need to be victimized to obtain asylum... Wrong....Anybody who can rationalize their fear in a legitimate way can obtain it. Any Nepalese who can show their stance against Maoist will be eligible to ontain it.
2. You can not go back to your home country when you are still in asylum..... True....But, you can still go back by providing special reason.
3. You can not go back to your home country when you get the asylum based green card.... False..... After getting greencard, your immigration status is changed. Some people fear that they may be interrogated during their citizenship interview, but that's a myth only. There are other factors that may hinder your eligibility. Your one time fear can not be assumed to last forever.
4. Asylum based green card is of low grade.....It depends on how you take it. Everyone in USA has migrated here at some point. The whites took asylum in USA because they had hard time in Europe. The Blacks were brought here as slaves. The Hispanics sneaked across the border (though Columbus was himself a Spanish). You can not give economic reason nowadays, but if you give logic to prove that your faith in a political ideology or religion is creating a fearful situation ( which I guess anyone who don't like Maoist, fulfill this criteria), you can obtain asylum in US. It's their legitimate way to bring more people from across the world to create a diverse society. That's why they bring 50,000 families every year through DV lottery. That's why they are bringing so many people from Bhutan and Africa. It's just one of the back door American Govt has let open to those who are very eager to migrate in USA. They know it very well that >99% cases are based on exaggerated story. Some pigs are just zealous of it ( in Sajha) because they think they are been unfair. One thing what they don't realize is that American accept skilled manpower only to that extent which makes their citizens of same academic background, do not have to compete with the new immigrants.
Everything is fear in Love,War and your way to America.
Note: How many of those pigs in Sajha had submitted eaggerated documents ( Bank balance, their reason to come back to Nepal, their academic plan etc ) during their visa application?
