Hyderabad: The principal of Andhra
University’s Dr B R Ambedkar College of Law, Professor Y Satyanarayana
has been invited to Nepal to give suggestions and inputs in drafting
the new Constitution of Nepal. He is among three experts invited from India by the Nepal government. Former Chief Justice of India
Justice JS Verma and senior advocate R Venkataraman are the two other
invitees for the three-day intellectual session titled ‘Towards a
Constitution in Nepal - Choices and options’ at Dhulikhel from May 14.
Nepal
is going to have a new Constitution with the restoration of
parliamentary democracy. Satyanarayana was invited to share his
expertise in federalism, delineating the Indian experience and keeping
the perspective of Nepal in focus.
The conference aims at deliberating on different issues that require to be incorporated in the new Constitution.
Having
done his doctoral thesis in federalism, Satyanarayana is an
acknowledged expert in this area. “They are interacting with a cross
section of the people with knowledge and background of different legal
and democratic systems. It is an honour for us to be invited to give
feedback before the Constitution is drafted,†Satyanarayana said.

The title of this thread is wrong, it should have been Indians draft Nepal’s new constitution
‘Maoists drafting new constitution in Delhi’
Kantipur Report
NAWALPARASI,
May 15 - Nepali Congress central leader and Constituent Assembly
member-elect Dr Shashanka Koirala on Wednesday alleged that Maoists
have prepared a tentative draft of the new constitution in New Delhi. Koirala,
who was felicitated by party members here on Wednesday on his victory
in the CA poll from Nawalparasi-1, claimed that Indian leaders had
informed him that Maoist leaders including Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai, were
involved in preparing a tentative draft of the new constitution in New
Delhi. "My Indian political friends have informed me about the Maoist move," Koirala said while addressing his supporters. Dr
Koirala also accused international power centers of being in haste to
see Maoists at the helm. "There is clear indication that once the
Maoists assume power, even foreigners are wiling to support them," Dr
Koirala said. "The Maoist-led government won't be as unruly as Maoists
are acting now and will be stable." Analyzing the pre-poll
political situation, Dr Koirala revealed that his party "used" the
Maoists to undermine CPN-UML but the policy affected his party in the
election. His supporters criticized him for not being able to
include a single Nepali Congress leader of the district to the
proportional list of his party. Koirala, however, accused the party
leadership of showing nepotism and favoritism while selecting names in
the proportional list.

what's wrong with you sabaiko satru!
I guess eagle5 is one of those individual like you and me. and a normal citizen can do very little ..no?? And it is sheer stupidity to ask anyone like" what did you do ....?" at personal level, and as a normal citizen one can always put his arguments, criticize and make people aware about the situation.. it is our leader who need to do something and they are not delivering anything other than being mere puppets of india...
I guess if you are patriot, his remarks should not offend you.. and of course we are talking about new nepal..i also do wonder how that is possible if our politcal parties start doing this kind of thing...you tell me..
