Dear friends,

I finished by Associate degree last May and since then been working at hospital in OPT. My OPT expires end of this month, and have been accepted to the same medical university  I am working  for in Bachelors Professional degree.  My plan was to keep on working for another year in CPT at the hospital. But now, I am told by my International Academic Director that I have to be the student of University for at least one year before I can be eligible for CPT. Is that always true?

She also told me that if I have friends who have been allowed to work in CPT in their very first year, she would talk to people and might even consider me for CPT. So, I would be really grateful if you guys could share here any experiences or knowledge regarding the similar issues you have or know.

Thanking you.

In my University they allow CPT after 2 semester,  in some university they might allow CPT after completion of 12 credit hours.
