I was given H1-B from one of the Indian company. Since market is slow, I was not able to get job and they want me to transfer to other company. Things that I am confuse about:
1. What is the procedure to transfer to other company?
2. Is there is any better company where I can transfer my H1-B?
Thanks and appreciate if you could advice me on these issues.

Hey NepaliTech,
Tell me about the trainning that you have taken in that consultancy. I know a good consulting company based on Richmond VA. They will be able to help you in this. It is true that the market is really really slow these days, and its hard to get into the IT field. Below is there website and try to contact them. Let me know if you need more information.

NepaliTech,
No one can help you if you dont have a job. If your H1 is from a certain company then you are stucked till you get atlleast 2 post Oct 1st pay stubs from that company. You can do whatever you want after that.

Hey NepaliTech,
Are you sure that you need to pay stubs after oct 1st to transfer H1-B, coz I checked somewhere else and it did not mention anything about 2 pay stops?
And is it possible to transfer before oct 1st... even when you are in OPT.
Thanx

You should have also tried searching on your own, within this one year. I've seen lots of people doing that and getting good job. Anyway, lets see if someone working on that field has vaccancy at their work.

Latoboy, even i've heard of ppl getting layed off a lot on other states...but for some reason, i've not heard that here in houston, instead company are recruiting ppl a lot...atleast my company is. But, I'm not too familiar with Nepalitech's specialization. If he would have been in the same filed as mine I would have certainly forwarded his resume.
