Tranquille – I Call Her My Love
By Credence Trend January 11, 2008, 4:00 AM (On a sleepless night)
Her heart as clear as crystal, her mind as tranquil as sea before tides She lets me see her mind, through a heart that nothing hides She’s looked at by others, as though she’s but a lady behind a screen But she lets me see her and her mind that no one has ever seen
The deepest corners of her mind, the endless bottom of her heart It indeed feels as though I’ve seen her every part Yet when I look into her beautiful shiny eyes I know it’s with her that I long to discover life’s lows and highs
Often I wonder, what good have I really done? To deserve the love of this lady, after years of love undone Despite the insipid course that my life has so far run She’s made me feel as though that the life has just begun
An acclaimed poetess herself, with feelings she expresses when her mind’s at extremes My attempt at this ‘poetry’, not more than sophomoric even in my wildest dreams A master of a mind she is, a mind that masters deepest gen Yet the mind as deep as sea, she hides, for humble she’s always been
Every time I look at her, I see a face that’s blithe, happy, and charming Love blooms between two hearts that are forever and ever warming People call her tranquille, people call her screen I simply call her my love, who’s got a heart that’s wide, warm, and open
