Has anyone taken a TV (40 to 50 inches Plasma/LCD) from US to Nepal. I was thinking of taking one but shipping seems to be a pain in the ass....Does anyone have an experience? Thank you guys.

Last time I tried to take it to Nepal, they said they will put it in cargo and they wouldn’t pay extra care even if it is a fragile material.
I took it with me inside the plane but it was hard to keep it in my lap, you know, very heavy.
I then put it in the overhead cabinet. Freaking thing doesn’t seem to work now.
They say they have folding LCD that they used in China Olympics. Get that and you can easily take home.
Gante mula jasto question sodchha.

Why carry? You can buy that in Nepal, it's even cheaper there. Really, I agree with Stiffler "Gante mula jasto question" ... ha ha

If you don't know shit just refrain from answering. TV is much more expensive in Nepal right now. It costs way more in Nepal than it does here. I tried FedEx but it costs more than the TV to ship it. :-)

dude.. don't you think its a hassel.. way more hassel.. or you wana hook up the 48' 1080p HDESPN in nepal so that you can watch english premiere league with your neighbours in the balcony man..
the shipping charge will be the same as your TV..
and to get your TV i don't think you can get it in the post office.. bansar officer ko ghar ma huncha..
give additional tax to that person.. finally you unwrap it.. and will find your screen broken..
good luck..

Its not cheap in Nepal. It way too expensive in Nepal due to customs. But taking TV from USA is not practical. Try buying in Nepal.
