According to the recent survey by UNHC the biggest factor or the cause  for Nepal's underdevelopment since the establishmenrt of democracy is frequent bandha's, strike's and change in government. Nepal is the no. 1 country for frequent Bandha's and government  instabilty. Corruption and illetracy comes as the 4th and 5th biggest factors.

Considering this survey results maoist minister Dr. Baburam bhattarai requested the parliament to let the new maoist government rule the country for atleast 2 yrs without any obstacles. In his brief statement he mentioned that creation of new Nepal is not possible unless there is a stable government. Maoist Government has already realised that since they took the power opposition parties like Nepali congress and Terai based parties are making huge efforts and to collapse the new government.

Also in a special meeting another maoist minister Ram Bahadur Thapa requested the government to allocate budget for building new jails in the country. He mentioned that the country currently has very limited number of jails not enough to hold all the inmates thus realising them soon on a frequent short term basis. Minister Thapa mentioned that in the past 12 years Nepali people have already enjoyed too  much  freedom and democracy.  Political parties and their candidates have taken advantage of our week law and system. New Nepal cannot be formed unless there is strict laws and regulations to control this kind of bihari activity. So use of force is the only solution to bring change to our country atleast at the present time.

 It is believed that  maoist government is planning to bring new law that will put anyone behind bars for at least 6 months and upto a fine of Rs 25000 if found guilty of destrying public property, involved in Strikes and Bandha's.

What about their own destruction and killings during their 10 years fight? Was it worth it? They could have run the election and formed a government just like this. What's the difference; now and then? Communists can't be trusted, that's it.

Even though we cant trust the maoist I think if they can curve frequent bandhas and strike it can be an immediate relief to the common citizens.

Also building new jails and strict laws are the best solution to contol our chada janats esp. from terai based parties otherwise our country will be in hands of india one day soon.

I support ur opinion. And Dipulata, Bhakte & ek@l are justifying that they are the typical stupid Nepali people who misinterpret the meaning of democracy and take it as granted. These three kind of people always defend the person who they like and offend the one who they don't like reagrdless of good or bad job they do. next, military coup is not the solution, we need to force Girija, Jhalla nath, Makune, Pranchhda, Baburam, or whoever to work together for the people of Nepal. it may take time, but eventually people will see changes in all these political leaders on the ways they lead their parties, governments, developmental processes, listening voices of people. etc.

Don’t try to teach me the meaning of democracy. You must be one of them who killed innocent Nepalese in the name of great revolution. What kind of revolution is that? I just simply don’t get it. I am not against Maoists; they can’t be trusted until they disassemble their paramilitary group (YCL) and settle their PLA members into normal lives. Is this the People’s Republic where Nepalese are living under the threats of YCL gangsta’? If they want to develop Nepal, they are mostly welcome; however they gotta go the democratic way. I oppose the military coup in Nepal, eventually that will lead to the destruction of the nation.  It took USA more than 200 years to be the most powerful nation in the world. We gotta wait and gotta do the right thing.
