I am trying to get air tickets to Kathmandu from wichita, KS. I talked to couple of travel agents and got a fare quote of $1705 and above with Cathay Pacific and $1835 with Singapore airline.

While I was doing reseach I found following fares:

I found fare with Qatar Airways on www.expedia.com for $1571. This fare doesn't show up in main search. After searching (I did May23rd - June 20th) you have to go to other airlines, select Qatar Airways and after selecting both departure and return flight, the originally shown $9000+ drops to $1571. This is promotional fare via Houston.

Guys in Houston, your airfare will be $1172, book directly from http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/homepage.html.

From Dallas it will be around $1340 try expedia with 'Multi Destination" DFW-IAH-KTM-IAH-DFW

It'd be great if someone can share their experience with Qatar Airways.

Also if there are any travel agents who can beat this pricing, please respond to this message or drop me an email.
