A Victoria's Secret in Dallas has been hit once again by panty thieves.
More than 75 pairs of women's underwear valued at more than $1,000 were stolen from a Victoria’s Secret at Mockingbird Station shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to a police report.
This was not the first time thieves have stolen large quantities of underwear from the store.
In August, 100 panties were stolen from the same Victoria's Secret and thieves struck again in July, stealing hundreds of panties, bikinis and bras, according to police reports. The afternoon of May 8, thieves stole 330 panties and 125 bras.
Dallas police Sgt. Gil Cerda said police don't know if the cases are related. Cerda said he thinks the thieves are reselling the stolen underwear. "I don't think it's a fetish," he said.
In the Wednesday incident, the thieves fled in a van, the police report said. A more detailed description of the thieves was not immediately available.
KXAS-TV reported Dallas police saying the thieves were professionals who were able to walk out of the store without setting off alarms even though security sensors were attached to the clothing.
Cerda said he did not know how the thieves managed to steal the items without setting off the alarms.
Employees at the Mockingbird Victoria’s Secret declined to comment.
