Hello,
I thought it'd be cool to review our Nepalese embassy and the staff members.
Please share your experiences.

Hi Quagmire, What is the purpose ? If you want to share views and reviews why don't you start first ? If you want old reviews there are lots of them in Sajha. Just search them !

Hmm good point Mullpaani. ( wtf - why has Sajha banned the word m aal ) ? I've heard that Nepalese embassy is pretty efficient. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.

Actually their efficiency is more than 100%, i will say 150%. My passport expired and I applied for a new one. Not responding any calls is not a new tradition, but what they did is added a middle name in my guardian's name which should not be there. The name should be first and last only but they added the middle name too, so their efficiency is 150%

The land an embassy stands on, is considered legally to be a territory of the country it represents. The Nepalese Embassy holds that thought quite true..coz the way they operate seems as if they have the workings of a government office back home and not the proper standardization of a one that represents our nation here in the US. i lost my passport once...as due process...i sent em' all the required docments....the application for a new passport along with copies of my old passport, my nepalese citizenship..a police report...evrything... 3/4 months later i get a call from the embassy..and from the tone he was speaking to me...the "Hakim" saab seemed to be interested in interrogating me... He asked me the usual stuff name..address back home..dad/mom name...citizen ship no..etc..which are all reasonable...to verify my identity..no complains there... then he went to ask me more..and he did not do this in a very firendly tone..he was rather rude.. he asked me questions like where i lived...who i lived with...what the names of the friends i lived with were..if i worked..if the friends i lived with worked..where i worked..where my friends worked....!!!##???!! i am there thinking...what the F does all this have to do with me getting a new passport?? but that's not all..at the end of the conversation he advised me that my case would be on review and that it would be a few more months before they verified more intel from back home .. soon i meet a Nepali brother...apparently, it seems he has a relative working at the embassy...i tell him about my problem..he make s a phone call...i get my passport in a week..BAAM-just like that!!!.....without his help..i wonder how long it would have been before i'd get a passport. So yeah, in traditon of the way a Nepalese administrative body works, i say they are quite efficient...

Oh forgot to write one more thing about one of my friend's incident. They first mis-spell his name and used "TIPEX" to correct the name. What a great way to correct name in the passport. After all it's a tradition from back home.

Hmm. It appears that not too many has had pleasant experiences with the embassy. Who all work there by the way? Who's the ambassador? I heard that the ambassador is actually working somewhere else too?
