I am supposed to write a paper about Native American Indians. I can choose any tribe and then choose a specific topic (like religion or economic system or political organization) to write. I have been trying to find a topic for a while but can't find an interesting topic for a certain tribe. If you guys know about Native Americans and could recommend me a tribe and a topic that I can find enough information about, it would be highly appreciated.

And the paper is 5-7 pages, doubled spaced.

Thank you very much.

There are a lot of tribes in Oregon, and some of them enjoy a protected status. I don't know much but this might be helpful. http://www.kstrom.net/isk/maps/or/ormap.html

ko-hola they are many natives American indians.
The native American Indians are Asian. Therefore we should be proud of these people.
Their ancestors came from Mongolia and Siberia during prehistoric times.
Some of the well known tribes are  Apache, Arapaho, Blackfoot, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Choctaw, Comanche, Iroquois, Muscogee and Sioux.
The most populous native American Indians today is the Cherokee nation.

In fact i had an honor of drinking with native Indian once.
He called me brother. I could not reject the offer when he called me brother.

I am Sioux Indians and i am Crazy Horse. Therefore Ko-Hola you should research about me
The Great "Crazy Horse and Sioux Indians and write about my tribes.

Good luck

This may help you:
Application of the term "Indian" originated with Christopher Columbus, who thought that he had arrived in the East Indies(India), while seeking Asia.  <This proved that C.C was not only lucky
but Stupid as well> Now you don't write this in your paper of what i have said about C.C!! or you get" C" alright!
This has served to imagine a kind of racial or cultural unity for the aboriginal peoples of the Americas. Once created, the unified "Indian" was codified in law, religion, and politics. The unitary idea of "Indians" was not originally shared by indigenous peoples, but many over the last two centuries have embraced the identity.

While some indigenous people of the Americas were historically hunter-gatherers, many practiced aquaculture and agriculture. The impact of their agricultural endowment to the world is a testament to their time and work in reshaping, taming, and cultivating the flora indigenous to the Americas. Some societies depended heavily on agriculture while others practiced a mix of farming, hunting, and gathering. In some regions the indigenous peoples created monumental architecture, large-scale organized cities, chiefdoms, states, and massive empires.
But when the white man came to my land, they brought with them their disease along with other
culture that was negative on my people and the land.
When the white man first arrived at the new foundland which is known as America today,
they treat us well. Slowly their intention changed. These white man became greedy and wanted our
cultivated land. They imposed us with many  laws that befitted them but had adverse affect on my communities. When I the great "Crazy Horse" challenge these white man, they killed many of my people. We had to be constantly be moving to new settlements allocated by these white man.

Therefore you should always remember my name, the great"Crazy Horse" is who am i!
These land belongs to me and my people. You are all welcome Immigrant!

Here's a portrait of my people. This was done by the white man.

You can find it here:

Anyway you shouldn't be listening to
wikipedia about the same-sex marriage!??
It's the white man culture but they shift the blame onto my people.

Hope this will help you to start.
Regard,
             jpg (The Crazy Horse)
and i am Archeology major.

Check your email!

Wikipedia will be the last source I would refer to write a paper.

How about Hopi Indian Tribe. They have also come up with the Dooms Day Prophecy of 2012. It could be an interesting paper.
