In those situation, I would suggest you to take a reduced credit where you can say " I have a problem in my family so that I can not concentrate or others". If they approve then you can take just 1 credit, may be you will be able to take online class. You don't need to go to Nepal and stay here without any problem. I think this will be a right choice for you if you don't have medical situation.

What if we get some illness certificate from New York  ( as  i heard we can found such document in 50 bucks in NY) and show to our college saying i went for medical check up to my uncel in NY !!

If you got any sort of medical certificate that prohibits you from taking class than they won't stop you taking semester break as I did same twice in my academic career too.

I am just taking idea for my friend. And the reason is some kind of personal so can't share in open in sajha. Sorry .

..AMERICANE bro ..when you find it out..let me know..coz i was also thinking about the same thing the other day..i will inform you...if i get some info..about this thing...my friend told me a long time ago that there is a dhoti doctor who does this..if You are in DFW that is..

When I took mine, they advised me to go to counseling. I pretended like I don't have concentration on study. They wrote a letter to international department saying that due to financial and other problem at home, I am not able to concentrate on study so it is better for me to take semester break and they granted me that. But, if you want to take full semester break without leaving country then you have to have strong medical support with doctors note saying that you cannot attend class due to weakness and so on...Hope that helps.

catch_me_if_u_can bro, my friend is thinking of visiting NY to get nakkali certificate of illness with some dhoti doctor. so that he can say i went to check up in NY , because i have some relative in NY .

And if u want to than take a ticket for Ny for first week of Jan so that you can come at second week and claim for break. i will give u number of my that friend if u are going on same date and my friend knows where that dhoti doctor is.
