Just wondering if any folks out there working for Microsoft in any position. I've been offered a job at Redmond Campus and wanted to do some research on pay before i made my decision. Can you please post the job level and the pay range along with your years of experience in that field. This is a non-management technical position. Thanks in advance!

More than dozens of my frens work there at different positions and pay depends upon your skill and position. One of my close fren is getting 88K working with search optimization department in Software Engineer position. Good luck for job. And one kindly suggestion to you, if you are getting job with decent pay, go for it. It's recession and you may not get another chance. There are thousands of people competing you everyday and no one will come back to you.

If you are offered for junior position(freshers) ask 80 - 85 Base salary. They will give you additional bonus which includes 10-20% of annual salary. This is for SDET(software development engineer in test). I have no idea about others level or positions.

Hello Kalu_prasad, Are you kidding?? for fresh SDET you should ask 80-85 K base salary and additional bonus that is 10-20% of your salary?
First of all you didn't disclose which SDET position you are referring to. There are SDET-1, SDET-2, SDET-3 and so on. Please don't give incomplete information. That may mislead people. And asking 80-85k for fresh programmer in this recession? No way........................
