Going green is the lamest idea out there that i have ever heard of and big companies spend so much resources/money to launch eco-friendly appliances. Is there anyone out there (except the environmentalists) who thinks the same?

If i need to purchase a phone, figuring out whether it degrades in the nature or not would be the last thing i would consider and going green has never changed the way i have been purchasing things so far. So, why are they really making a big feast out of nothing?

Much of it is a new revenue generation for companies; similar to carbon trading. They just found a new way to make money. While the initiative was with good intention, fear is that companies could harm more by giving false assurance. What good is an electric car to the environment when 50% of the electric energy comes from coal.

But I still support it as it is better than the irresponsible attitude the industry had against environment. This helps keep some level of awareness amongst the public and industry alike.
