Hi All,
Is there a medicare benefit like medi-cal ( medical benefit for 65+ in California) in Texas for newly migrated parents who are 65+ age? If any one has information or personal experience please share.
Thanks in advance.

It should be available for everyone who qualifies, no matter what state he/she lives in.

Right but what is the qualification criteria? Since they are newly migrated they have never paid tax. Do they have to live here for more than 5 yrs?

No they don't to have lived there for 5 years. They won't get the 'benefit' (I forgot what its called) that's given only to the ones who've worked in the US for 5 years (or so) but they are definitely eligible for other benefits.
