I have got my learner's permit and looking for a place to learn/practice driving. I tried a couple of parking lots but they asked me to leave. Anyone knows a place in/near Irving, Texas where I can practice peacefully. I am driving for the first time in my life. Thanks!

They can charge you with TRESSPASSING so get yourself a lisenced driver on passenger seat & start driving where traffic is relatively slow.

U know u are not suppose to drive alone with learner's permit. This is not only unlawful but also dangerous.
Sry, no clue about your area.

- always accompany a person with a DL. That's a MUST.
- initially try on a low traffic rush time and place ( possilbly after 10 PM)
- go and try on exact same route where the actual Driving test happens. You can get the possible route/location details from your nearby friends who got DL from the same DL center.
Its not that bad as long as you have previous biking (motor-bike) experience at least.

If you go to school, you can try driving on school's parking lot. I used to do that when I learned. If cops come and ask just tell them that you are a student there and is practicing driving.

Do not drive without an adult ( the age someone can be a instructor), if you got caught , a big trouble will hunch you down.

I would not suggest you to practice on any parking lot as there would be lots of pedestrian walking arround which is very dangerous. I would suggest you to find some residential area where traffic will be slow with lots of stop sign for you to practice. And if something happened you can stop on the side of the road without blocking any other vechicle. But, for you any scenario, with your driving permit you have to have a person with DL to instruct you.
