राम्रो करियर छाडेर नेपालवाट अमेरिका पस्दाका अनेक पीडाहरू छन्। १७ वर्षसम्म अमेरिकाको माटोमा पसिना बगाएँ मैले। २ छोराको लागि २ वटा घर र सबै भौतिक सामाग्री जोडेँ। तर, ६ हजार २ सय ५ दिनसम्म अमेरिका बस्दा यो भूमिमा म एकदिन पनि खुसी भएर बिहान घरबाट निस्कन र बेलुका घर फर्कन सकिनँ।
हरेक बिहान उठेर काममा जाँदा फलामको भारी बोकेजस्तो हुन्थ्यो। अमेरिका बसेको १७ वर्षसम्म कुनै दिन फ्रेस भएर काम गरीनँ। र, खुसी भएर काम गरीनँ।
नेपाल छाड्नुको कुनै कारण थिएन। नेपाली समाजमा हिरोको भूमिका थिएँ। दर्शकहरूको माया प्रसस्तै पाइरहेको थिएँ। र, त्यहिबेला साँस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमको लागि अमेरिका आउने अवसर पनि पाएँ।
सन १९९८ को डिसेम्वरमा अमेरिकामा आइपुगेको हुँ। साँस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमका लागि अमेरिका छिरेको थिएँ। अमेरिकामै बस्छु भनेर आएको थिइनँ। इमान्दार भएर बोल्दैछु। कलाकारले ग्रिनकार्ड पाउँछ भन्ने साथीहरूको सल्लाहले म पनि ग्रिनकार्डको पछि लागेँ।
त्यसको एउटै कारण थियो, ‘मेरो परिवार र मेरो छोरोको राम्रो भविश्य। अब उनीहरू हुर्किए। मैले बाबु हुनुको भूमिका निर्वाह गरेँ। अब मलाई नेपालमै गएर बस्न मन छ। त्यसैले अब सधैँका लागि नेपाल फर्किदैछु।
कलाकार भएका नाताले ग्रिन कार्ड बन्यो। परिवारलाई अमेरिका ल्याएँ। छोराहरूको भविश्यको लागि भनेर पसिना बगाउने क्रम निरन्तर जारी रह्यो। दिन, महिना र वर्ष बितेको मैले पत्तो पाइनँ।
६ वर्ष अगाडिदेखि म नेपाल फर्किदैछु भन्दै हिडेँ। १७ वर्ष लगाएर अमेरिकामा बनाएको जगलाई एकैचोटी छाडेर जान सजिलो थिएन त्यसैले समय लाग्यो। घर छोराको नाममा सारेको छु। आफूले चलाउने गाडी बेचेको छु।
वालुवाटारमा घर बनाएँ। जन्मथलो चितवनमा रहेको पोल्ट्री फार्म भाइहरूबीच भागवण्डा भएको छ। अब नेपालमा त्यहि ब्यवसाय र चित्त बुझेको खण्डमा चलचित्रमा खेल्नेछु।
अमेरीकामा बिताएको १७ वर्षको अवधिमा मैले अनेक संघर्षहरु गरेँ। प्रेमराजा महत र मैले कोठा सेयर गेर सेभन एलाभेनमा काम गर्दाको पीडा सम्झँदा एक निमेषका लागि मन मौन भएर आउँछ।
राति ३ बजे उठेर काम गरेँ। महिनौसम्म बिना छुट्टी काम गरेँ। परिवार र छोराहरूको नाममा गरेको संघर्षलाई अब नेपालमै फर्केर बिट मार्ने तयारीमा छु। गएको साता नेपालमा सहयोग बाँडेर आएँ, अब नेपालमै बसेर सकेको सहयोग बाँड्ने विचार राखेको छु।
ड्राइभिङ लाइसेन्स बनाएपछि अलिकती सहज भएको अनुभव गरेँ। तर, देशमा बसेजस्तो सहज कहिल्यै भएन। विण्डिजमा काम गर्न थालेपछि अलिकति जीवन सहज भएको अनुभव गरेँ। तर, छोराहरू हुर्केका थिएनन् त्यसैले विण्डिजमा पनि संघर्ष गर्न छाडिनँ।
केहि वर्षअघि रेष्टुरेन्टमा पनि हात हालेको थिएँ। मेरो रगतमा जताततै कलाकारिता बगेको छ, शायद त्यसैले अन्त कुनै ठाउँमा खुसी भएर जम्न सकिनँ।
जो खुसी छन् उनीहरूले अमेरिका त्याग्नु पर्छ भन्ने छैन। तर, मनभित्रबाट खुसी हुन सक्नेहरू नेपाल फर्किए हुन्छ भन्ने मेरो आग्रह छ। यसपाली भूकम्पले देश दुखेका बेला अलिकती राहत बोकेर नेपाल पुगेँ। गाउँमा बाआमा र केटाकेटी बाहेक अरू कोहि छैन।
देश बाआमा र केटाकेटीले चलाउन सक्दैनन्। हामीले बाहिरबाट देश विग्रेको आरोप लगाउनु बेकार रहेछ भन्ने लाग्यो।
अमेरिका नपुगेसम्ममात्र सपनाको संसार थियो। पुगेपछि विल्कुल फरक। तर, नेपाल छाडेर हिड्दा पनि स्वर्ग थियो, भर्खरै गएको भूकम्पले मुलुक सिथील भएपनि देश स्वर्गैजस्तो छ। त्यसैले मैले अब सदाका लागि नेपाल फर्केने निर्णय गरेको हुँ।

हैन, हाम्लाई किन जे गर्ननि एउटा लेखै लेख्नु पर्ने? उद्घोषण गर्नु पर्ने सारा संसारलाई?

Again there are reasons why I don't wana go Nepal forever. They are as follows-
a) People are not open minded, still prejudice about castes, money, power, life standard etc. For instances I like to flirt with others wives, here nobody says anything but in Nepal I might get public beating.
