Besides business and computer sciecne, is there any money in other sectors? What do you guys think is the highest paying job in the market today?

Mostly people like us are into Science, Computer, Medicine and business etc. etc. I think if you are bold and smart enough to get inot Policy making, Law and such, mucho Dinero.

I was not sure why this question was posed. Are you trying to decide on what major to pick? If you are, then, it might not be wise to pick a major based upon the potential earning. Instead, go into what you have a passion for.

What do you think about Human Resource management.. Either you go rich or jobless.. quite a gamble!

medical fields...nursing RN and stuff like that They are always in high demand...oh sorry I don't think RN and other medical ppl get paid that much but

Bedrock, you said something about policy making- yeah, thats somewhere near what I'm into right now- with a good background of Mass Com. But for a start, I'm having a hard time finding a good (paying) job (entry levels are easily available in non profits, and they pay very less)...

Wonder why I picked a major like that first of all if I wasnt too much into providing public service, is the question, but I like what I'm doing, its just that the reward sucks.

u took mass comm (COMM) as ur major, and now u r not getting any good paying jobs !!! Damn, i am thinking of taking COMM as my major soon (not into it, tho).
so, the prospects of good (well-payed) jobs for COMM is less, huh ?? that sure is disheartening , :-(

be a self-employed business person. after 3-4 years you can easily make above 300k /yr.(conservatively speaking) . you have to be there all the time though. (at least in the begining 3-4)

Relax_Singh, Mass Com has a lot of prospects if you are good at it. Mass Com isnt my complete focus though, and I never said I didnt get any jobs. Entry level mass com sucks (specially if you want to go into reporting, or public relations), cause you'll have to hang on to 24-34k jobs...but once you're into it for quite some time, you'll start making big bucks. But other majors like comp sci, genetic eng, microbio, business, whatever, start theirs from around 40k and up.
