Many of us when we come from Nepal experience cultural shock. What was yours??
One of the biggest schocks to me was when students in class sat with their shoes facing the teacher. I thought that was totally disrespectful. I would also get surprized when total strangers greeted me.

I didnt like the smell of potatoes and sausage...

Which reminds me of the food they throw away at the restaurants after closing. I was thinking of all the starving people around the world.

When I land in LA airport and saw really huge( Fat-Tall) people. When I heard some of my class mates and co-workers were single mom and some of them have no idea who was the father so they were collecting money( child support) from several man for one child.

When my classmate got shock becasue I was still a virgin. I have more which I will post later.

Gorkhali ta Nepal ma ho especially ghar ma Aama Bau Bhai Bahini ko agadi ho. Yeha student bhayera kam garda ta dekhi halyo nee tai.. Bhada majnu, waiter bhayera kam garda ke ko Bir Gorkhali nee..

Maile Gali ta pakkai gareko nee. But they say it is what they want, some of them even say they want to have baby from the rich guy so they can collect more money for their child. Believe me Maile gali gareko ho and I told them that it is very bad for their child and some of them were a child of single mom so I guess they saw waht tehir mom did and they are doing the same thing.

Very sad, bad and unfortunate. US is very rich country but at the same time very poor becaue it lacks a lots of value of the life.

Well, fornutatly I never had to work in the restaurant. My work firel is medical field so I am lucky.

Ma ta restaurant ma kam gare.. bhada maje..waiter bane..sabbai gare..It was pretty hard then and I always cursed my luck. But the hard work paid off. I guess it's a part of learning process and be happy with what you get in life.
