guys, please share your humiliating moments with .why always try to be no. 1, let's try to laugh @ ourselves sometimes.
i'm sure most of you all have one.
i have one, it's a bit lenghty but i hope you'll enjoy.

there was a quiz competition @ our school.there were 2 participants from each house( red,blue,green and yellow).there was a lot to memorise so i and my partner divided the boook into 2 and read each of our shares.i was 100% prepared with my part.
so the competition began and it went quite smooth.many times, it so happened that we already knew the answer when the interrogator was halfway through the question.and many participants were chipping in with answers before the whole question was read.
when it was our turn, the question began but halfway through the question i realised i knew the answer and so i gave the answer.
the interrogator told me to let him finish the question and then answer. i felt insulted so i told him i already knew the answer.but when he finally read the question, it wasn't as i had expected.
i had read for the question "the great stupa of boudha was built by whom?". i had stopped him when he was still in "the gr8 stupa of boudha was built..."
when he finished the question, it was "the gr8 stupa of boudha was built when?".


god, i didn't know the answer for that one.i felt so humiliated,i wished the soil would break apart and i could go into soil as Sita did.
hope you guys understood the funny part.

Thank go god you were not swallowed, if you were then how would we laugh at your expense !!!!

for me most humiliating part was

When i was put on hot seat at rehab. I was blasted by 49 guys for continued for 2 hours. I was not allowed to justify and speak. I was just blasted like hell for my ego. I wasn't ready to surrender coz of my ego. It certainly made me cry and melt down all my fake ego. I was then kept in isolation for one week as a part of punishment. I was asked to do pot washing for week along with carrying chair for 3 hours everyday. On final day i was asked to fill bucket with only spoon. It took me 5 hours to fill up the bucket.
Today, when i look back. I am greatful to all my fellow brother, counselors, higher power and family to understand that humilation is part of life. It makes u stornger in life and helps to grow up emotionally. Today, i try to do humilation practise wherever i can.

This makes me smile not laugh.

lonely gal what i was doing was to encourage u. If we learn to take humilation as positive in life then u go far ahead than u think. Ppl get via humilation spritiual awakeing. Why do buddist monk go around or buddha asked him for begging? if u think it is humilation. Today, i try to practise humilation wherever i can. It helps to melt down your ego. Well see r laughing on that incident today but it does carries a message that think,think and think before you act on something. U should never try to answer what u dont know?
Thats what i was telling my brother lately? Today, i am in position to accept what i dont know? i accept it easily and dont try to make out. I know when i throw out , it is easy for me. i may pretend that i know that stuff but later it becomes worst and worst. So i certainly see message on your posting.

thankx so much mansion and mokshya. i have a couple of humiliating moments.these have gr8ly reduced my self esteem.as a result of which i avoid being in gatherings.i always fear, sth's gonna happen again.
so there goes the reason for my nick.i stay alone most of the time.
but hey,u all r so nice, feels like changing my nick.but i better stick to it for now coz i actually started liking it now.

feri hasaako ta hola ni.. what i meant was that it was more than elaborate.. so even a kid will be able to make our what u meant... my thinking about humor is if it is too elaborate it misses the point..

maybe my definition of humilation is little bit more different.. my humilating moment i can think of is in class 8.. a new lady teacher sent 5-6 people out for making noise (i was not at all involved in that), we were in the class outside talking... she came out and slapped me.. yes SLAPPED me... i was just listening to whatever others were saying.. that was so very humilating..

later during the day i thought someone could/must have said something to that lady teacher..

The thing u said was "cute" and "funny" i wud not call that humilating..

that was cute and funny. Those people laughed at you coz they have been in your situation before. they thought it was funny so they laughed. they werent laughing to make u feel bad. Those kinna things happen all the time in life. i believe you are taking that memory as a bad memory, but look at the bright side.

Mero ta lop flop huda kheri. kya rag bhako. But i laff about it now. Mero most embarrasing moment, when i peed in my pants ad i had to stand out in the sun naked during my LKG year in Galaxy.
