Gone are the days when sajha used to be a virtual coffeehouse of the civilized mass to brew and ponder over the finest ideas I have now come to embrace; where even the youngest, ugliest and smallest could say something and the idea would be weighed without any hatred, personal slander and racial slurs.Well, democracy back home seems to have done the trick here at Sajha. People trying to fathom how much they can stretch their freedom of speech and others trying to exercise their right of relegious neutrality predominantly by incriminating someone else. but I still visit sajha every day trying to pick and choose some topic where I can read something sensible and I find none. What shall I do? Try to work and push back this empire into its glory days or warm myself in its last few dying embers?

Anyways sajahuser u do not know this, every 3 months we have tradition here in sajha to hate each other jaats .So people like leo_r starts all this and everyone follows.

I generally agree with what Sajhauser has said but let me reshuffle a few words and replace some other, if I may.
I believe the worst form of racial prejudice is the "Superiority Complex" which I believe is in flux here is sajha. It all starts there. When the superiority complex speaks out the inferiors feel oppressed and have to respond in kind, an a result, to make their claim superior, they form alliance and be a part of a group. I don't know why but when I write these santence I cannot help but notice the general resemblence to WWII and nazi germany (not trying to be extreme). I also understand the natural human tendency to ethnocentrism. Yes the key word here is "Realize it". Realize it from your perspective BUT realize it from theirs also.

I agree with the starter of the thread. but IMO, its just not the right solution to open another thread and whine about the degrading quality of sajha.


1) Why not each of us who feel that sajha has plummetted in quality start a new, thought provoking and healthy debate inviting thread?

2) Why not IGNORE bs threads pertaining to racism, vulgarity et al.

3) Instead of resorting to bashing each other and name calling, why not let people speak their mind. why not try to respond logically? why do we need to vent out our anger. if it works this way fine, if it does not then ignore.

just a thought. i realize that we have too much of this tendency to whine and complain instead of looking for the solution--one of the primary reasons why we are where we are.
