Just curious to know who is the richest nepali? is there any official data.......don't think so...........does any one know?

Late HM Sri Paanch Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was one of the richest person on the planet (in terms of real assets)...but it kept decreasing as far as I have checked the records with other big ASSET heavyweights...

If you leave out the Royals and Aristocrats...than I would think of some Rizal or one of the Marwari Nepali. But again, this is speculation as I haven't checked and verified the latest records.

I think some Mahato (Business man from Russia) is the richest person of Nepal excluding the Tanashahis (Royals)

I am not sure if Mahato is Nepali anymore. Don't take my word for it, for I am just making a conjecture.

Mahato must have taken the Russian citizenship to hame amassed that much wealth - multi million net. With current laws in Nepal that forbids dual-citizenship, you automatically lose your Nepali citizenship when you accept another country's.

But yes, Royal Tanashahis, with their ill gotten wealth, are probably high up there in money scale. Huna pani kina nahun ta, tyetro barsha desh lootna payo. That's why there are royalist dogs and "chawras" - such as memyselfandnepal of this forum - who still bark for them, lick the dirt of the soles of their feet, kiss their ass vigorously, hoping to get some crumbs leftover from the table.

If you are not kiddin and you do own commerical product.. what is it?..This guy makes competitor product with IBM 's RUP and recently sold company for 100 million dollars.

i have made POS (point of sale) software for small business, like a hair saloon, convinient store, or lil ice cream store. I have installed it in 2 nepali/ indian stores already..and ofcourse for free.
