I've noticed that a good number of intellectuals have stopped writing in sajha. Such as ashu, nepe, sitara, I might be missing quite a few.

Yeah Bhaley, where are the peeps you mention above?? Guess we're just following an evolution pattern for the worse. We're losing quality but gaining in quantity these days. Back in the days it was more of a site for the peeps solely within the US and most of the posters were recent graduates/grad stundents and professionals here. Today, sajha has become the unversal webpage for the entire Nepali Diaspora. Even peeps whose posts seem like they hardly made it past grade 5 are posting today along with some of the finest writers such as Galt and sum_off. BTW, more hits in any form translates to good business for the site owner in the short run but will have its consequences later (ala Gresham's Law: Bad money drives out the good). I believe that there should be an incentive to retain the intellectuals who were the reason I first came into sajha and have been addicted ever since. Many others come here because of the same issue (to be among other bright people) and once we lose these smart peeps, slowly the dumazzes will leave too as discussions would be left bare-bone dry of humor or socio-economic-political issues. Should something be done about it? And if so, what? This definitely needs to be among San's top priorities.

College-ma hunda hamra Economics ko professor-jyu le bhannu hunthyo, "bad money pushes out good money." Perhaps that's what we are, bad money, and we have pushed 'em intellectuals, the good money, out.

Yeah, intellectuals like Samsara and RatoBhaley need to find some other "private forum" where they can brag about their intellegence. Same on you guys for making such ignorant comments. I personally know there are some members who look up to you guys.

Hey Torilaurey, where do you see us bragging about our intelligence? However, I'll take it as a compliment. You need to read deeper into comments to find some knowledge out of seemingly ignorant postings.

Torikophul, wtf?? we aren't bragging about anything here dumazz...Rather we're dismayed that sajha has lost its quality over to quantity in terms of members. We miss the old intellectuals who used to frequent this place but for the past months are MIA and I just gave my reasoning as to why (Gresham's law was one such e.g). Man, what an ignoramus!! Yup, you need to be the first to sit for sajha's IQ test!! hahahah

Torikophul, read your own posting and explain where we brag about our intelligence...I've put others down and have called the bright ones the intellectuals but never have I called myself the "intellectual." This friggin dimwit is trying to put his words into my statement...Ain't dat soumthing! hahahaha Read what the greatest detective in fiction had to say in the Scandal in Bohemia: "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts."

Rato Bale .. i think you are pretty ok .. but samsara .. he/ she thinks as the king of sajha ... he is the only intellectual person from Nepal .. LOL .. I have been noticing his comments last few weeks .. he is an arrogant and over confident in his writing and all can feel that .. My suggestion to Samsara: Think at least once before you write ... let other call you "Sir" before you declare yourself the KING

Aight, Alu-bhalu whazz dat you see where I act like I am the King of sajha?? Everything that irks me here, I provide a reason for it. Here's whom I hate: I hate communists/maoists (not for being stupid but for imposing their stupidity onto others), I hate anyone who tries to make a living off the suffering of the poor Nepalese: Man power benefactors. I hated it when I read about the Bahrain post where the Arabs were treating our Nepali brethren and I hated it more when the thread of maitinepal was started and a few azzholes thought they could make light of such a delicate situation. If you've ever crossed my path in any of these scenarios (or supported the ones making fun of such issues), I hate you too!! Hahaha All commie azzez on sajha have been marked for life! Hahaha BTW, in contrast, I enjoy reading posts of fine writers such as sum_off and Galt. The humor Bhaley has is amazing and the people in the TGIF thread are the ones who make me wanna come back to sajha everyday. These are the peeps who I feel deserve to be treated as friends, while the rest who disagree can just suck ma long one all day!!

I cannot agree more with the thread starter out here. Sajha has lost the intellectual depth. Now, the posters are a bunch of idiots whining about this and that at all times. Just look at the attention about Prashant...People are writing as if they've conquered the world. This just shows how much we lack in depth about issues. One guy even talked about Prashant running for elections only to realize later what a fool he was to think like that...hehe Even more shocking are the celebrations in Ktm. We are making this issue a big one while ignoring our own local talents, not that Prashant is not a Nepali in heart but that there are several others within our community who have been neglected. What a pity that Nepali tara had to change its schedule because people are watching Indian idol...Your nationality has lost something out here which you will never realize because you are consumed by the herd mentality... So, this is not just about Sajha. Nepalese are acting insane...may be because of the frustrations with the political turmoil among other socio-economic poverty. People need to grow up and be rational. Moreover, I think the Sajha base has also expanded to include high school students and college freshmans. Not trying to underestimate the intellectual level of these groups of people but the fact is they do lack in experience and hence, their level of thinking is way too much influenced by the thinking of others. In other words, they lack their own mind. It is when people start following the herd. And, when you start following the herd, you don't even realize when you fell into a ditch...coz everyone is there with you in the ditch as well. I am sure many people will start barking at me for writing this but hey...look back. What are you up for? Think rational, act rational.

Samsara I propose a TGIS section thank god it's sajha what you say? People who don't have a sense of humor or those who are intellectually challanged can stay out of it. Aalu things will turn positve or negative depending on the way you look at it. I've seen samsara writing for a while now and I got to know him a little. Schooling in northern india, growing up in thamel has social implications as in having to assert himself every step of the way surviving in another country and in thamel itself which is infested with dada's looking for didi's. Hot headed he is and he does need to put his head in a bucket of ice water sometimes but he's a cool guy with a good sense of humor. If you have a good sense of humor you're good to go in my book.

Didn't I just reply to this mega dimwit, torikophul a few posts above and he cuts and pastes the same post again. Here's the quote from Sherlock Holmes back to you again, dumazz: "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." BTW, Definitely Bhaley...It alu sounds good to me. Kinda sootthing like being massaged by torikotyel, ya dig?? Hahaha BTW, your pseudonym is associated with horniness in the villages ain't it? I'm still tryin to find out which chick on sajha did that to you that you had to find such a name! Me thinks it may be the hot and heavy poster, Aznshawty who did this. BTW, she's one of the intellectuals we've not seen around for a while now…Sajha and us here "desperately needs her" now!! Hahaha
