Seriously man, stop politicizing every %&#*ing thing you see! The website says the accident was due to lightening. Not sure where you got the info from: "Witnesses said the helicopter had burst into flames
after being struck by lightning during a thunder storm in the Sindhuli
district, some 65km (40 miles) east of the capital Kathmandu, the BBC's
Charles Haviland reports from Nepal." (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7275153.stm) May the departed souls rest in peace! This is horrible news.

News sources say the helicopter was carrying UNMIN inspectors.
Release from UNMIN: http://www.unmin.org.np/?d=activities&p=activity_detail&aid=109
Other sources (google and see) say there were a total of 10 people.
This is tragic. First the WWF accident and now this.

After a similar helicopter fiasco in 2006 when 4-5 legendary Himalyan conservationists were killed (along with 12 other prominent UN and NGO activists), we now have this?? The aviation industry surely needs to tighten its belt before we see another catastrophe again next year!

Negrodamus, first of all, incase you're still living under a rock; better aircrafts and more qualified pilots (I know pilots who just finish their course in TX or Oz and end up flying in Ktm even though they practically do not have enough hours up in the air to be a commercial pilot). Then we need better maintenance staff who are educated well in "that" particular subject of aero-dynamics and aeronautical engineering, etc. With this obviously comes higher pay which the owners/govt is unable to provide. BTW, these cats get their job not because they know the bascis of aircraft maintenance but because they know someone who knows the owner, etc. Finally, the officials at the Aviation Ministry need to understand that its public saftey thats a concern not getting a tender on every damn flight route where they can pocket lakhs if not crores. Also, what was that a few months ago about the ministry buying illegit black-market parts for its aircrafts because it was much cheaper than the OEM parts? This attitude has got to stop as no one has the right to compromise safety for a few bucks!!
Now I've given my suggestion, what do you think the Nepal Aviation ministry should do, Mr. wisecrack??

I dont beleive that just because you finished your course in AUSTRALIA or TEXAS makes you qualify to fly planes but there are some strict rules from Civil Aviation Authority in Nepal. For one to be able to receive CPL 200 hours of Flying is must and its basicly same all over the world
The real problem is the person who is flying the plane, I have heard stories from friends that they discuss about crashing palne if "रिस उथ्ह्यो भने खसलिदिन्छु " .this kind of mentality must be stopped from pilots.
Increasingly this is also taken as fast route to completing studies and earning load of money. Increasing numbers of Drug addicts son of well of people are taking this as career option which is highly alarming.
ani by the way I know a pilot who smokes GANGA while flying.

vname, smoking ganja while flying? Nothing new, thats common with some piolts these days...What about binge drinking the night before operating their flights the next morning (with no sleep)? This is extremely common...The Aviation Ministry should make these pilots take a breathalizer test before stepping onto the planes. hahahhaha And finally, like you said, most of the school dropouts I know are all going abroad to get some sort of a pilots license with fake certificates and what have you. This whole "shifarish" mentality has taken our nation to the bogs!! Qualified peeps are being left out for the ones with NO hope/qualifications/mental-stability...And this is what needs to be left out in the New Nepal the netas keep talking about.

Samsara , as i told you in other post , " its better not to speak and let people think your a fool , rather than opening your mouth and proving it " . Lemme correct you first by saying that Aviation is nepal is not handled by ministry but by CAAN . look what it stands for . Now when you say about aircrafts , the AC that come to nepal has to be not older than 20 yrs from manufacture date , And in aviation world thats fairly new .Pilots being better trained, its up to the company and the operation dept to take care of it , and i am pretty sure most of the companies in nepal and around the world do take care of it . Its their million dollar AC at stake too . Just common sense . Pilots trained anywhere around the world , when come back to nepal , they have to sit for the exam .( and its not easy ) . Its better and tougher than FAA .( search FAA too while you at it ) . As for mantainance personals , they too have to go through the certification and other stuff .. And its not easy either . May be whatever you are studying or doing is easy , but aviation field is not .There are regulations set up for every little thing , and you gotta follow it to the T . Now if you dont and you get caught , then its as good as surrendering your license . Now since you have raised this whole issue because of the crash ,let me enlighten you on the aircraft too . Its a mi-17 helicopter , and its one of the most respected AC in the world . Best performance with the cheapest price . And its pretty close to be categerising as a HEAVY . Its flown around 110 countries , and has one of the safest record only second to Bell .The US army is flying them in Iraq , Afghanistan etc . As for the weather and the crew, i cannot comment , cause i have no knowledge about them . Now sir , little knowledge is dangerous as someone said . If you dont have the knowledge about the subject samsara ,i would request you not to open your mouth and prove that your a fool ...

Opsss.. forgot to answer samsara's concern , they go back to nepal and fly as commercial pilots ... Well sir they fly as co-pilots .... Thats why they dont require experience .And thats the reason they are not captains . Juss common sense , use it . If your friends tell you they are captains in 2 yrs of going back . Then they basically think your a fool and juss enjoy by giving you lies . It takes a lot of time to sit on the Captains seat ,depending on what AC they are flying . Its no joke flying in Nepal , and the companies are pretty careful on who they put in captains seat around the world . Before they become a captain they have to do their ATP , ( look it up ) ... Now sir if i have enlighten you enough , lemme know .

hahahaha This sublime ignoramus called Negrodamus, who thinks he knows his shit but for a better lack of the word is missing his facts on the research he just googled or whatever have you. Lemme correct you instead (the ones in italics are your excerpts that have been debunked by the benevelont leader they call Samsara):
"Lemme correct you first by saying that Aviation is nepal is not handled by ministry but by CAAN . look what it stands for"
Ok foolio, Read the next line I found off the net and still tell me you are right, would ya/could ya?? : "In 1957, the Department of Civil Aviation was formally established under the then Ministry of Work, Communications and Transport of Government of Nepal". HAHAHAH Don't I see a Minstry involved in its formation?? "Now when you say about aircrafts , the AC that come to nepal has to be not older than 20 yrs from manufacture date , And in aviation world thats fairly new "
Well, The ever faithful twin otter that the RNAC (now NA) flies are planes that date back to the 1960s. And these planes are still being flown. SHOW ME ANY TWIN OTTER we have in nepal that are currently being deployed which was produced before 1986 and you'll see a hand come across your screen to slap that skull that clearly is lacking gray matter. HAHAHH NEW PLANES, MY AZZ!!
"Pilots being better trained, its up to the company and the operation dept to take care of it , and i am pretty sure most of the companies in nepal and around the world do take care of it . Its their million dollar AC at stake too . Just common sense"
Damn do you even know the pilots/co-pilots personally? hahahah You've prolly never heard then that most of these cats are somehow related/someone in their fam personally knows the owners or managers of these companies. Just shows your lacking rhetoric on Nepali socio-economic mentality. Listen, about the million dollar stake...Dude, you just summed up how much you know about finance...Nada. There is a basic thing that we educated people call "insurance" that is used to hedge the loss of a plane...duh! Even then, noone pays a million dollars upfront to get a plane...You finance it through a bank, dumbo!! Keep in mind the whole Cosmic Airlines fiasco where the owners deliberately went out of business to defraud insurance companies and the bak financing their planes? These owners made a boat-load of money. "Pilots trained anywhere around the world , when come back to nepal , they have to sit for the exam .( and its not easy ) . Its better and tougher than FAA .( search FAA too while you at it )."
I'd say that the New York City Cabbie Exam is harder than a pilot's exam in Nepal. Atleast here there's no one to take ghoos and make you the topper of the cab exams! And FAA...Who gives a shit, seriously? All these federal exams are so basic and easy to the core that its a damn joke.
"they go back to nepal and fly as commercial pilots ... Well sir they fly as co-pilots .... Thats why they dont require experience"
Where do you see my lines where I say :"they go back to nepal and fly as commercial pilots"? Did you just make that up?? And if they have no-experience as you just said, why were they even hired as co-pilots?? Shouldn't they not be hired? Except as I pointed out, they prolly know someone inside whom other wannabe piolts don't. Damn, you're being a hypocrite here and I'm wasting my time trynna make you stop swearing the hypocratic oath!! HAHAHHAAA
"May be whatever you are studying or doing is easy , but aviation field is not"
Thats why dropouts become piolts in 6 months...And some of these cats do not even have the SLC!! HAHAHAHA
"let me enlighten you on the aircraft too . Its a mi-17 helicopter , and its one of the most respected AC in the world . Best performance with the cheapest price."
You just summed up all we've been wanting to know (without beating around the bush) with your last words, Negrodamus: cheapest price. Thats what it all boils down to: Cutting corners on costs at any cost! Damn, that rhymes dude! hhahahaha

FYI--- ......Earlier, the Russian Transport Ministry
said the craft was a Russian-made Mi-8 and was carrying eight
passengers and three crew members — two Russians and a Belarusian. The
discrepancies could not immediately be explained. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080304/ap_on_re_as/nepal_helicopter_crash Let me know if I don't know how to read but I did couldn't find that the crew members were Nepali, ani bhutro discussion gareko Nepali pilot yesto ra usto bhanera. Ani ko get your facts ni, taile khubai facts lyayeko rahechas. K tanlai Amerika ma basera sansar ko sabai kura aaune jasto garchha!! NYC ko cabbie ko ra Nepali pilot sanga tulana garna milchha, k tero NY ko cabbie le Tribhuwan International Airport ma kasari land garnu parchha bhanera janeko hola ni teso bhaye next time KTM aaunda cabbiele udaunchha ni ta plane. You view the world from your American eyes?? Ignorant ....... You might know something but you don't know everything. I bet you don't even know who is Bobby Shah? Peace

HAHAHHA Listen, my answer to that bimbo question would be: "k tero TIA ko pilot le NYC ma kasari 3 lane katera passenger lai pick up garnu parchha bhanera thaha cha muji?? Thats itself is an art, my friend and pilots don't have that...except the road-pilots (cabbies). HHAHAHHAHAH Where da fug do these idiots stem outta!

Samsara ! you really need some mental health . CAAN makes all decisions about aviation , ministry is not even involved in it . You moron , have u ever been in an AC . I bet you sailed through a boat and must have landed where ever u are . Cause safety was a concern to CAAN , they made the regulation for the companies to get AC not older than 20 yrs , but did allow the old AC to stay back , with thorough ramp checks from time to time . And i personally think its way better to do it that way . CAAN regulates it pretty well . You have no knowlege about aviation field do u ?? or you would be a lill more matured about this argument . This show's ur intellegence level samsara , and i am not suprised that you fall in like a 11 yr old kid . You trying to compare pilots with cabbie's is like trying to compare your mom with a whore .. Would you do that ? ummmm ... i guess you could .. anyways , thats your perogrative .What can we say , if you feel that way towards your mom . As for being cheapest with the helicopter , i meant CHEAPEST OPERATING COST . You little peice of tweed , you really have no clue about this do u ? hahaha .. anyways i laughed out your comments . " Ignorance is a bliss ,arrogance is a curse " ... Son hope you understand this ..

hahahaah Negrodamus, damn whining biatch, I knew you'd come back as thats how peeps who have an oedipus' complex do! hahahaha Looks like this Bhalu ko poi is back for more beating! Listen foolio, you're supporting the CAAN as though they run the brothel you were born at Man, they're just some corrupt piece of governing body who thinks nothing more than filling their own coffers. Get your pom-pom and miniskirts and root for these wannabe politicians, damn cheerleader. Why have the CAAn still not given "Danfe" a go at getting itself tested? This would be the first assembled glider in Nepal: Nepal's first plane! As far as sources go, CAAN is asking for a substantial amount of money to be paid before the testing can even begin...Corrupt butt-holes! BTW, I'd still say a NYC cabbie exam is more harder than a Neapli pilot's exam as in Nepal you could easily bribe your way into topping your class!! Even if you flunk, you'd still make a pilot in your dad's or uncle's airline
Listen misguided fugka who has no sense of Nepal's socio-political-economic ideologies, I'm gonna send you back to the same hole that you got outta for refuge...Just keep coming back to papa. HAHAHA Man, I'm loving it debunking all your wiseazz theories.
As per the bard of Avon: "A fool doth think he is wise, but a wise-man knows himself to be a fool." Chew upon this for today and get some neurons cracking in your gray-matter, would ya?? Wanna be smart jackazz!!

Listen son , when you dont know about aviation , then shut the fk up ... Murkha sanga daiva pani daraucha . As for you using those words , shows a lot about your family background and your education and your class . . Keep it up . Dogs bark , and people dont bark back .. thats what i'm gonna do with you . Son you can bark , i'll ignore that part . I'll respond to your comment which is required . "Danfe " wasn't allowed cause NEPAL DGCA does not have any provision or regulation stating that test flights can be done for experimental aircrafts . If there is no rules , what you gonna regulate .. Its no rocket science moron , its juss common sense .And to correct you , its not a plane .. Go look for the definition of plane ... What a jerk ! ... I dont knkow what your field is kid , but you cant bribe your way through exams . Lot say's about how you completed your education . You seem to have bribed your way through , and it shows a lot when you type and the way you type kid ... As for socio , ideology and economics , son i could teach you on that . You dont have a clue what you talking about , do you ? I am not supporting CAAN , but trying to enlighten an ignorant fool ... >>> thats you SAMSARA ... As for BKP , is that what you think about your dad too ? I guess you do kid. ALL you do is make me laugh on your knowledge . Go back to your whining , cause you dont have a clue how the aviation industry works ... Somehow i have a feeling that you are juss bitter that you could not do anything in life , and any respectful field , you'll attack juss to make yourself feel better .If thats the case , atleast we made a kid happy without a candy ...Grow up and come up with some matured arguments ...

I seriously have doubt about you studying in top university . I think you'r not even educated enough to get into any educational institution . Show's a lot by how you type . Anyways ,lets keep the argument to the topic. now son , do you have any more questions about the aviation industry in nepal ? College ma padne baccha po raiccha samsara .....Well kid , you dont have the maturity to argue with me . You sound as if your still doing ur bach ... Go back to bed . Dont act as if you have out grown your age ... Now i know why u keep posting weird stuff about aviation . Anyways , now knowing your maturity level , i dont really think you even fall in the same category of intellectuals , with whom i would like to argue ... Enjoy your studies son ...BOL .
