Many of us don't want to express our stresses that we have to bear in USA. May be our parents are proud for us to be in this country. But, the fact is we have no peace in mind. We are in search of peace and properity in life. We want to share our feelings. But there is no one to trust in. We have preserved so many feelings that we we want to talk about. But ther is no one to hear about it. To whom we can espress? The only way to get rid of it is by getting a couple of beers or cigarrettes. We tried a lot forgetting everything in the past and present. But you know this is life. There is no except......

I think it depends how you perceive your life and your surroundings...It is up to you how you want to take life...Life is not easy whether you are in nepal or US or anywhere in the world !!! Sparrow

yes, the stress here is so much different than in nepal. from an americans eyes, when i go back to nepal, the people seem so much happier and carefree than we here in usa. even tho they have relatively nothing, their daily lives and especially family bonds seem so much more peaceful and strong than ours. i cannot wait to get back to pokhara and spend the (christian) holidays with my (now X) wifes family. and "F.U." Sita for leaving me, abandoning your/our family back there. I'm gonna tell them everything you have done! isnt that wierd? im gonna go spend x-mas with my X-wifes family, while she stays in dallas with her asshole boyfriend Doug Folks and his family.

No Kidding its been 6 yrs running since i came to this land of oppourtunity. I have never thought how stress menifests and appears physically in your body. During my grad stud life whie i was supporting myself and taking full time grad courses, i started getting rash in my arms and lost a chunk of my hair backsides. When i visited university doctor...i was so surprised by what he told me. Those rash and hair loss was all because of mental stress. Can you believe that???

be happy guys, because you are in better situation as you always have the option of going back to Nepal at any time and discover peace if that is what you want. you guys have already experienced the lives abroad; so for you no more repent of being unable to see the lands of opportunities as compared to those living in Nepal and trying hard to escape from Nepal; they are uncertain about whether they will definitely be on the so-called lands of opportunities one day.
give up tha ambitions, learn to cope up wiht what you have, just develop hopes and make plans accordingly. You will be satisfied with what you have here.

jiban and randhir, I agree with you.
I am graduate Engineer with a lot of experience and very good academic background. My OPT is going to finish in a week without any job offer. I applied more than 1000 jobs till now. I was even fired in five days in a third class job in an Indian grocery shop recently. I worked hard, I am young and I was very honest. In another Indian gas station, they were giving me training for 12 days without money, I run away it's too much. I have my wife and child in Nepal, they wish to see USA, while I am already here for more than two years. I even could not invite my wife and child in my graduation because of my weak economical situation. I can not kill their desire and go back right now. Some of my relatives dream big and write me frequently. My credit cards have no money remaind, my hope in USA is becoming tiny !

While reading these postings I feel like you guys are writing down my feelings. So true........
But the good thing is there is always a hope for us. One day everything is going to be alright. And that hope is our beautiful country NEPAL.

Bagbhalu,
She is your GF not your WIFE for crying out loud. If she makes you cry and you feel like you will be happy with your parents, what are you waiting for? You will just have a 'break up' not a 'divorce'.

LIFE SUCK!!!!!!!. Thinking of the previous permanent job with all facilities in homeland. Quit, and came for further education, now it like yeta na uta……………………..
Been here for more than 5 yrs. Spent lot of money in GC banaune chakkar ma. Tired of finding jobs during OPT. Got extra degrees to maintain status. Finally got H1B through Dhoti Consultancy, no job so far. Have pressure to marry can’t do, without money diff to handle honey. Lot of expectation back home, and friends. Neither can go back nor can stay here without stress……... .
