PLA's real strength 7-8K: Dahal 'Will capture state by all means''

REPUBLICA KATHMANDU, May 5: The real strength of the Maoist People´s Liberation Army (PLA) was between 7,000 and 8,000 and not 35,000 as reported by Maoists. This startling revelation comes from none other than Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He said this while addressing PLA commanders and combatants at Shatikhor cantonment in Chitwan on January 2, 2008, a video of the meeting -- in possession of Image Channel TV -- shows. Dahal said contrary to popular belief that the number of PLA had been reduced by the verification by UNMIN (United Nations Mission in Nepal), the strength was actually up. "We all know what the real strength of the PLA is: it is between 7,000 and 8,000," he said. Had we given the real figure, the number would have come down to about 4,000. But, added the chairman, the party said the number of the PLA was 35,000 and that resulted in around 20,000 verified PLA. "Did the number increase or decrease?" asked a smiling Dahal, evoking laughter around him. [BREAK] He also said that even a small number of PLA combatants´ entry into the Nepal Army was enough to establish total Maoists control over the army. Our soldiers are politically awakened and they will easily dominate who just parade, referring to NA soldiers. He also said that army chief Rookmangud Katawal was thus against entry of PLA into the army. This address was two months before the Constituent Assembly elections, on April 10, which had looked uncertain then due to sharp differences between the Maoist and non-Maoist parties over percentage allocation between first-past-the-post (directly elected by people) and proportional representation electoral systems. Dahal also said the party had not forsaken the ultimate goal of bidroha (revolt) and asked his men not to be swayed by compromises struck by the Maoist party with other political parties. He said party workers may be thinking that their leaders are having tea with enemies, forgetting their revolutionary agenda. But the reality is the leaders are still working for a revolution, he said. The Maoist chairman said that money that the "martyrs" in villages throughout the country and the PLA in cantonment receive will help them move ahead in their goal of total victory. The money that will go to the "martyrs´ family" will help repair the party´s deteriorating relations with the common people. "We will tell them this is just a relief (of Rs 100,000) and you need to support us to get the remaining Rs 900,000," Dahal revealed his strategy of winning the CA elections. Each martyr family has been provided Rs 1,000,000. He had also said that the Maoists were not keeon on an election that they would lose. "We will not allow election that we might lose." He added that one third of the Rs 600,000,000 that was agreed to be given to the PLA cantonments would be used to further the goal of Maoists´ control of the state. Why do you think Prachanda quit???because he will get "vote of no confidence", and they will be out of the govt anyways...so he took time to blame India, President and other parties and tried to play the blame game....

yes!!!we dont like external forces interfering in our internal matters and esp. India,      all parties are chor,  and i personally don't like President either because of his background with koirala family and Lauda Kanda. I liked him in this particular instance. I really don't care whether his move was legal or illegal because Maoists move was illegal too...they were pushing the buttons too hard to get kicked out of the govt by India..the interesting fact is nobody wants to share what really happened behind the scene..what India has done..

i was listening to BBC Nepali Sewa where Babu Ram Bhattarai declined to discuss what happened behind the scene saying "yo Samaya Sandarbha le bujhne kura ho, junga chalyo kura bujhyo bhanchan manche le, ukhanai pani cha..yo bujhiyekai kura ho, kaha bata yo dabab aaune garcha.....tesaile chai   mero mukh bata bhanna kina lagaunu huncha aba... aba bujhne lai isara nai kafi cha"...

and the counter question was why no politicians wants not to answer this??? he got away with the question saying, "maobadi party jhukera basdaina,baru sabai kura balidan dina tayar cha bhanne kura ko aja hamro pradhan mantri le sarkar bata rajinama gareko le ni pusti garcha..."

if you are a true public servant, you and your party owe this explanation to me and all my fellow countrymen...
Even though, i am not a supporter of any political party because we have seen it all, i had some expectations from Maoists after they won the election, i don't know by daar tras or vote....

And now you see Prachanda's tape....what a shame to you and your party you SOB Maobadis...now learn your *ucking lesson, and i hope Maoist party will never win a single seat in the election...i wish there's no more people supporting these motherf**kers but then there's no shortage of "MURKHAS" among we Nepali people....

Video shows Dahal admitting real strength of PLA not more than 8,000; sharing plans to control army

a shocking revelation, it appears that the actual strength of the
Maoist People's Liberation Army (PLA) was anywhere between 7,000 and
8,000 and not 35,000 as reported by Maoists before United Nations
Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) started the verification process.

In
a footage said to be from January 2, 2008 and telecast by
Kathmandu-based Image Channel Monday afternoon, Maoist chairman Pushpa
Kamal Dahal is seen telling PLA combatants at Shaktikhor located
cantonment in Chitwan how the party swindled  UNMIN into believing that the number of PLA was 35,000
when it was actually not more than 8,000, ultimately leading to the
increase in PLA's strength rather than its reduction as has been
assumed.

In the video, Dahal also justified the inflated figure
the party reported to UNMIN, saying that had they reported the correct
figure of the PLA "it would then have been reduced to around 4,000".

Thereafter, Dahal talked about the difficulties in integration of PLA into the Nepal Army (NA).

Claiming
that PLA combatants are "politically aware", he said even a small
number of their entry into NA is enough to establish "complete Maoist
control" over the army.

This was why Army chief Rookmangud was against our soldiers entry into the army, he said.

Assuring
that the leaders, though they appear hobnobbing with enemies, have not
forgotten their revolutionary agenda, he also said the party had not
deviated from the main goal of waging an "ultimate revolt"

UN & UNMIN should apologise. Instead of being concerned about the peace process, the UN should accept direct responsibility for screwing it up. Ban ki Moon apologise now.

This is the biggest case of corruption in Nepal by Maoist party.

Fraudulent no. of army = 19,000 - 7,000 = 12,0000

No. of months from peace process: 30 (December 2006 till May 2008)

Maoist soldiers' pay per month: Rs. 3,000 / month

Funds distributed fraudulently to Maoist party by Government = 12,000 personnel X 30 months X Rs. 3,000 per month = Rs. 1,080,000,000 (i.e. Rs. 1.08 Arab).

In addition, they are trying to declare 7,000 maoists as martyrs and party is going to take Rs. 9 lakh out of Rs. 10 lakh paid by the Government to the family.

Money extorted from fraudulent martyrs = Rs. 900,000 X 7,000 = Rs. 6,300,000,000 (i.e. Rs. 6.3 Arab).

So Maoists have already have done a corruption of Rs. 1.08 Arab and trying to steal another Rs. 6.3 Arab for a total of Rs.7.38 arab (approximately $100 million).

No wonder they won election with money and threat of violence.

I am happy that i was always right about Moaist. The fund given for moaist  cantonment by their government is a fraud. Saying total no 25 thousand and used for only 5 thousand. No wonder they are leaving the cantonment.

Here is my indirect conversation with someone in Dolakha with Maoist who took life of two policemen in Charikot.

How did you shoot them?
We were actually waiting near hotel and keeping on eye. Our move made suspect and we had to take a action. we decided to run away from north of  satdobato towards the charange and cross via jungle of povati. So we shoot them both and run away.

How long did it took you to get to tamakoshi?
It took us 5 hours and we took a move by runing away in two different direction. One of my friends pretend that he was running towards the Dolakha but acutally we planned to meet in Povati and escaping via there and going to peeple is only  1 hour.

So do you think you are fit like before?
No we are not at all. Now we frequently travel in motorbike and our exercise routine is less.
