Kale was damn lucky. If he would have remained at the same position for a sec,
it would have been a knock-out with Rai 360 side kick!

The heavier they are, the harder they fall. 1:57 2nd video!

Which arsholes keeps marking JPEG's post as inappropriate ?

Thanks JPHEG bro for the post. I am gald that our GC mama is still representing Singapore in Oyama Karate tournament. Well, as a former practioner of this martial art, I still remember the time when we were made to do knuckle push ups on rough cement ground, run bare foot for 30 mins before commencement of every karate class as warm up, pull a few hundred kg cements out of the well and so many others exercise.

Go GC mama !!

This is not a fight. This is just a sport where you have to play according to the rule.

Sachi kai fight khelyo bhane ta kale le uthaera fali dincha.  They are genetically strong. Anyway Nepalese are good in karate.

no quiero this is not sport like cricket, soccer, billiard or any other game. This is martial art to the extreme. This is FULL-CONTACT KARATE COMPETITION.
You know nothing son.
If no rules applies here, then it will become a brawl. What make you think that Gurkha will not
be able to beat the kale in a full fight brawl...?

Just appreciate the video dood.

What a racist thread!

Both guys seem to be equal. I don't see "kale" (deragotary) being "wacked" by Nepali. Why do you need to bring race in the picture? Just appreciate the sportsmanship.

Fighting is not all about size and strength- it takes more than that. I feel our Nepali bro should have kept on attacking the black guy's calf.

no_quiero, yes this is not a real fight but did you know that this is the only martial art which has no weight category and also there is no body protection, execept a ball guard. Even UFC has set of rules.

Go Gurkha Camp !!!!

racist comments aside, they both look lousy martial artists who lack endurance and good training. Honestly, doesn't seem like Nepali guy's whipping..he seems barely struggling..

Looks like there has been too much of UFC exposure here !!

Well, these guys are not pro and also one would need to be superman to have the stamina to last till the final round. Also one need to understand there is rule and the fighting style differs from what majority of the people are accustom to see most of the time.

I would have agree though regarding the thread title which connotates racism.

Dyamn you don't know anything about martial arts kid. Grow up and stop watching WWF!
You said "they both look lousy martial artists who lack endurance and good training"
as though you are sensei(master) of karate or other martial art.

You do not know the intense training of these world class fighters do you?
You are speaking as though you have seen them train and fight in the arena.
But i tell you one thing for sure, the Gurkha training will make any man on earth cry!
I have seen them train and i tell you that one need to have more than a ball to even train equal par as the Gurkhas. You normally don't expect nation such as Singapore to come and ask you to represent its nation for nothing.

And i got no idea where Chicagoan got the racial theme from?
I was just stating the fact. Kale=black. Common on we all call every black as kale isn't that right?
Unless of course you are color blind?

Verdict: Singapore’s Barja Kumar Rai, 26, triumphed over Hong Kong’s James Kouame, 30, to clinch the first place. Ritu Bartan Rai, 48, came in third after defeating China’s He Jin Lei.
Picture below is of Hong Kong’s James Kouame (2nd place), Barja Kumar Rai (Champion) and Ritu Bartan Rai (3rd place) both of Gurkha Contingent representing Singapore.

Jpeg, u don't know me and i don't know you, so let's not get personal here. what we know is how these fighters are fighting based on the video u posted. I do have years of interest and training in martial arts including karate, boxing and muay thai, and i am nowhere near these guys but definately have seen lots of dedicated and hard working martial artists and have seen lots of great fights.I understand and respect your sentimets for a Nepali brother in the fight, but again u are clearly biased my friend. peace out.

Verdict was that Singapore came in top and also bagged the third spot. This was Singapore’s best showing in both regional and international full contact (kyokushin) karate competition.
Below:
Singapore’s Barja Kumar Rai, 26, in action against Hong Kong’s James Kouame, 30, to clinch the first place. Just look at the size and height of James Kouame. Though he was much bigger in size, Barja overcame his opponent.
Like I_Nepali said "Fighting is not all about size and strength- it takes more than that."
