What would you do if you found out your roommate is Maoist and the person had done so many bad stuff back home, like asking for ransom going home to home, gang rape, etc.  At first place, how much do you know about your Nepalese roommate background? Or you don't care because you don't have a courage to deal with the Maoist person in US.

If I were pressed with that situation, I would treat it in a similar manner as if he had done those things in the United States for a gang. It would take a lot of courage, but talking to the person directly, and expressing disagreement of past activity would be the best method. 

90% of the people outside of the Kathmandu are Maoist. They come inside the Kathmandu and create trouble and harm those innocent people of Kathmandu. As you can also see, people live in Kathmandu are educated, most of them are professors, engineers, works for the government, etc. So even if you are in US, chances of meeting Maoist person is really large because of the out numbers.But you can profile them like, Newars are very peace and good and educated people. Rana, Shah as you know them very well. Beside that I have a doubt and have to think twice to talk to others.

Ask him to look for other place.. if he would not, then you better leave that place and move to another place. Do not ever be in contact with that person. But make sure you tell him/her that US is not the place for him coz due to his affiliation with Maoists in Nepal he could get into trouble... just tell him the truth that his heaven is in Nepal.. (i don't understand, in the first place, why maoists and their supporters are living in USA).

In Nepal, lot of Maoists supporters simply became maoists supporter to get easy life without having to get into trouble. (recent example is artists joining Maoists). Coz they have no ethics/mojo to voice against Maoists.
