how's that possible? did you miss the court date or something ? if you were to be arrested the TABC would have handcuffed you right then ? but if they issued a citation ........how can you have a warrant...and if you had a warrant they would have hunted you down by now ........
which state are you in ? texas ? and what are charges on the citation ? be more clear .... goodluck

Did you do tabc certification for serving alcohol? If not, do it asap and present it in court. They will forgive you for the first time with a fine. But, abc laws always keep changing so check what's going on now.

TABC works with local law enforcement and arrest you red handed at the moment you sell or serve alcohol to a minor. However, it's not true if you are tabc certified. That means if you have taken the safe alcohol serving class either physical or online and passed the test, got certificate and you present to the officer at the scene then they do not handcuff and take you to jail, rather write a citation and summon you to the court. But as the original poster said, he/she was not arrested at the scene, then I suppose he/she was already tabc certified, or worked in an exempt county, or officers made an error, or may be just got lucky. To all who has to sell or serve alcohol, please get certified. If you don't have time, you can also take online class. Go to learn2serve.com and take the class. It only takes about 3-4 hours. And its not boring. Its fun with all the animations and conversations. The best part is you will sell or serve alcohol more confidently the next day and after and you will be at less risk. Be ABC certified and be a responsible server today. For those in Texas, use txonline as promo code at learn2serve.com to get $5 discount out of $25 dollar (not quite sure but less than 40) class fees.

dreamer, one of my friend have a similar problem in texas. here is my story. i hope it will help you out. his warrant was issued after 1 week. but he was already informed by the cops that his warrant will be issued. so we make a bail bond for his arrest. and it can be done through bonding place which can be found around county jail. since his arrest was issued, he have to do in and out from the county jail. he went in there, they took him in. and he was bailed out in 4 hrs. later on, we have a lawyer to fight his case, and it was dismissed. i hope it will help you out. dont get freak out for this. just go and get a lawyer.i hope it will give you a help.

When you have been given the ticket for selling to minors, you must have to pay fine within certain period. You should not make delay at all. For this you have to visit yourself before they issue warrant.( That means you should visit find your name and pay bill) (But usually they themselves misplace our name depending upon city/ county).
Anyways, since there is already been warrant issue on you, that means You have be in jail at-least once. They will come to your house or work ( early or lately) to get you, put in their nice car and then drag you behind the bars. But don't worry, Bail Bond is there. After an hour you can come outside after few written transaction. But here is the difficult part, I guess you will have to stay in probation for a year, do some community service, travel restriction etc.
Don't worry, its just a challenge not a big issue. But, consult a local lawyer in advance, don't take a chance. Good luck.

@ Atomic .Thnkx for the reply. yea they did not arrested me at the spot. They told me that they would contact me within 2 weeks bt they never did. Afterwards when I went to Fort worth court at dallas, they told me that i have a warrant. I hired one lawyer, he told me that he would bail my bond and work on the case to be dismissed. Do you know what are the chances of deportation? and yea i took course after the event happened (one day after). Do you think that will work? Do you have any idea what will be the charge that lawyer will bill me. and yea probation means i cannot study for one year right?

Don't worry about deportation and such issue. Just act as you are from here. The first thing is that they will not ask you where are you from? and all those question. Its just about you going to jail and coming out. However if your license seems "temporary visitor" and at some point or moment they ask you knowing or seeing your "ID", tell them I am working on CPT or tell them I am working 20 hours a week taking authority from college. Just tell like this before they ask something. However, if they don't know about your status and just ask you randomly, tell them I am from here. Be confidence. But usually no one gonna ask you "where are you from". Be patience and stick confidence on yourself.

Well I forgot to tell you about the probation. No, it does not mean that you cannot go to college and study. Its nothing like that at all. You will just have to do some community services, its not that hard; you will learn a lot in your life, make some police officers friends , couple of hours of labor work, there might be restriction on traveling beyond city/county limit etc. It might be a year or six months or even may not be depending upon decision of the judge. But basically its nothing like such kinda activity which will affect on your study.

i dont think there will be any deportation. i have been living in texas for 5 yrs, and have seen and heard a lot of guys getting ticket, but havent seen one getting deported. its just a in and out of the jail within couple hours. and rest lawyer will take care of it. and for the lawyer fee i think around 2000, and 1000 dollar worth bail bond. i am telling you wht i have deal with my frn. he was really scared, but nothing happened.
