Sajhatis! What professions/college degree do you think will be best suited in US done from Nepal for a girl? This is for marrying a girl in Nepal and bringing her in US.
Your opinion would be appreciated.

north pole,
पहिला त तिम्रो प्रश्न नै बुझिन के भन्न खोजेको हो | तिम्रो कुरा गरेको हो कि तिम्रो हुने वाला को ?
Anyway, to my knowledge, everyone has to start from the scratch here, no matter what.
Educational background is very helpful but just based on that, don't expect to get right into the US company for job the moment you get here. It takes some years of career buildup here in this soul.
But, if you are already into multinational or NGO and they've affiliates here, or you are hired by americans, what can I say, thta would be exception I think.?
And, I still don't get what do you mean by "..while marrying nepalese girl, what profession is best suited in US, to bring her here?" what exactly are you asking.. can you write in Nepali??

Bittertruth! thank you for your response! I am doing Und. grad. in biology and getting degree soon. Besides, that I am doing undrgrad. research in M-bio. My families are asking me to get married while I get to Nepal; but, do not have much idea what will be the best education/profession if I have to choose a girl there. So that she will be better suited in US.

north pole, no offence but it sort of sounded like marriage between two certificates rather than two hearts. मन मिले पछि कुरा मिलि हालिन्छ नि | But anyway, it seems you are little confused and worried about if your would-be wife could blend here easily in this culture. Why not??
If all these uneducated and illiterate mexicans can settle up, why not your would-be wife? I'm not comparing her to them but just saying you know, we human are adaptive in nature and we adapt quick.
Some of the basic things you would suggest her is:
-to learn American English (I know there are American Language Centers out there, don't send her to ऐरे -गैरे so-called english institutes )
-to learn driving (optional)
-to learn some computer skill (a must)
-more ( I leave it to other sajha members)
and btw, I've seen many nepalese compatriots who were very well-known and had honored profession back home, working here in gas station and samosa pasal in their early years, something like that. US companies don't really recognize what skillsets you've earned back homeland. They only honor credentials you've earned in this country, not other country. I'm talking real life stuffs. If you are student, things are little different that what I just wrote in above lines.
Did you know, even if you go and marry her in Nepal, possibly there is another 5-6 years to bring her up?? So, go , chillax and enjoy your life and have fun and bring some memorable moment. Don't try to sound you are marrying 'certificate' but person. I chuckled a bit as I was going through your words., best.

BIttertruth! Thank you for your suggestions. Actually, these opinions are worth considering. Yeah! I agree with your point of certificate marriage but I got couple of options, like either or and expected that all certificates are compatible. Im completing my undergrad. in microbiology and applying for pharmacy school or if not continuing my MB research which I have been doing right now. I am citizen and hope I won't have trouble bring her here.

Exactly , if you want to marry someone then marry her coz you really love her and you feel like you are comfortable to be with her as your life partner ,i don't think having certificates or tatttos is that important. If you are US citizen now you should have learnt these things way long ago buddy !

It is such a shame, such a day has come where marriage has been reduced to contractual agreement. It is preety clear what you are looking for and what are you priorities. Why do you even need someone from Nepal? Think about it, is it worth all that trouble and wait to get some1 from Nepal? If yes, let me know why?
And budhi ko degree from third world country like Nepal will hardly count. She will have to start from scratch. It is better you don't make such daring effort.
Once ya budhi from nepal, who has excellent degree and education..like you wanted..comes here and get settled to US life. She will let you know, budha I have better career than you...since u r into M bio and will be spending half of life in research, thesis and writing papers..then undergrad to masters, masters to phd..life is total waste...I think i have better options..I should move on.
This is exactly the scenario, if she based her decision solely on your ceritificates and your education liek you have mentioned..

Bittertruth,
Frankly, your Mexican comment was completely out of line. Guess what? there are ten times or hundred times more individuals of Mexican or Latino origins in this country compared to Nepali populace. When you make such a comment, you are becoming a racist while still a "micro-minority", if you will, at the same time. Your life insurance premium could go through the roof if the provider finds out about your reckless speeches. Latinos and the Native Americans ruled this continent well before the Europeans and Nepalis arrived. But that's history, for now could we just try to get along?
Lest I forget, let me mention this now : French Billionaire wifey Salma Hayek would be so proud of me when she reads my comment. Even Carlos Slim might forget to sip his thousand dollar champagne for a moment with utter disbelief if he notices your comment.

GeetMaiJawaafDiu, thanks for making me feel the center of the universe.
But back to the reality, I'm saddened and no am not the center of the universe and I was not being racist. May be you need to go and check out your dictionary to find out what the word really means. I was just pointing out the fact and the fact is majority of them are illiterate, crossing border illegally and they don't speak English. Period. And, pointing out that as a racism?? you must be not in a right mind or drunk or drugged or some sh-it like that. All I meant was despite those hindrances they still manage to live. No racism was there.
FYI, I get along with latinos more than others, coz we look similar.
When I read, " your life insurance premium could go through the roof if the provider finds out about your reckless speeches. "
You sounded very very disoriented it made no sense,I don't even know what to come up with that. You surely are not in your right mind or deluded or whatever, then I realized may be you needed help.
God bless.

Called me "deluded", "disoriented", "need help".. blah.. blah.?
Hey bitch, all you are trying to do is portraying us all as freaking racists with that Mexican reference. I say now, DO NOT LET THIS GET WORSE.
With your last comment, you are trying to further your arrogant misconception that all Mexicans are illiterate, uneducated, and illegal.
Europeans were invited for good in boatloads through welcoming Ellis Island so as to outnumber the red Natives(, again we can't change history). Now what is so immoral when anyone from the South of the border comes here to make a better living for themselves and their families through honesty and hardwork? There are certain regions in this country that alternated nationality between America/Mexico at different times in history which might have also caused some to assume the surrounding area to be the same country not that they don't know where the border lies.
Sad but true, you might think you are a god but the rest of the world knows that Mexico is a far advanced country while a lot don't even know where our country is. Those who know about Nepal also know that we are one of the two poorest Third World nations that too by virtue of people like you.
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes you gotta be humble, act human-like and acknowledge it instead of letting it get out of control. And yes, put some smile on your face else the Joker might have to carve out one for you. The last sentence prior to this is also a joke. Now that it has been precisely labeled as such, I hope you will at least t-r-y to get it.

bittertruth,
you are the most ignorant person i have ever come up in my entire life, you are disgusting, you are pathetic and disgrace in the human world. you don't deserve a life lol. I don't know if its ignorance or arrogance but you seriously need some help.
"I was just pointing out the fact and the fact is majority of them are illiterate, crossing border illegally and they don't speak English": when you know the fact that majority of people in nepal are also illiterate, and not all people gets lucky like you to go to the schools. and no i don't have any relations with latinos.
