Wake up boyz and galz......... NFL kickoff is just 48 hrs away. Can you believe it??? Go get your team shirts and pigskins to throw in the snow. Let's talk some Football here. Let each other know about your favorite team and share what each of us has to say about this NFL season. By the way.. if you guys do not have a favorite team yet or have a doubt that your team might bring to you another disappointing season then............ here's a solution. Rooot for the NEW England Patriots. It's always a safe bet. I got my BRady shirt and the Patriot Hats.......... I gotta go pick up my Ty Law Shirt and Rodney Harrison shirts as well (..well that depends on how much BUCK I can afford to spend!!!!!$$). So guys Watch for them COwboys. GO patriots go. Jai Nepal

Alfathita, I think you misunderstood me. I meant to say I dunno much about SEC this year. I know how great of the conf it used to be especially Florida Gators and Tennessee Vols. I used to love Aubrn tiger during Terry Bowden(???) days. I did the search and here?s what I found :=) all done in 10 year period Championship game Big 12 - 6 SEC ? 5 National Championship Big 12 - 4 SEC ? 3 Alfa said ?Tell me what year PAC -10 has won Natinal Championship in last ten year???? Check the entire poll (3???) and tell me which team stands on the top. You will find your answer ;) I know you Tigers are excited about your team. i don't blame ya all. When was the last time Tigers played title game, please enlighten me Division I-A all time wins - http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/misc/div_ia_wins.php Best college football teams of all time http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/colfootball/teams/best.html

AX, Last time I checked I should have 11 wins in my last week's prediction. But that's okay it does not matter to me regardless. Alfa thita, Auburn has won all four meetings with Alabama in Tuscaloosa, winning in 1895, 1901, 2000 and 2002. So Auburn has never lost in T Town. By the way it was only last year USC was a co-champion along with LSU. So Pac-10 has one team as its National Champion in last ten years. But Ax already put it in a nice way. I know record means nothing when it comes down to Auburn and Alabama rivalry. But this year it is little different. Firstly, Alabama is struggling mightily in its offense. With Broodie Croyle sidelined so its offense. Overall defense was number one in nation till last week. But lets see Auburn's: 2nd in scoring defense. Only allowed little over 8 points in each games. Offense ..well Jason Cambell, Cadillac and Ronnie Brown will not only roll but will steam roll on tide's turf this time. I am saying this because after following Auburn Football for years, I have never seen them play with this intensity. This time AUBURN is for real and with most of the seniors going to NFL, they are making sure going out with a bang. I do not see Alabama creating any hurdle to Tigers run for NC this year. I know SEC has few cup cakes like Miss State, Vandy, and Kentucky. But SEC is no doubt a better conference than any of 'em right now. No conference can boast the likes of Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama. Heck, even 2nd tier teams like Arkansas, Ole Miss and South Carolina can easily give top teams of other conference run for thier money. Remember how Arkansas whupped mighty Texas last year and Longhorns just managed to beat Arky by 1 point this year. Not being disrespectful to other conferences, but if you want to see smash mouth football each and every week you have to see SEC matches. SEC teams beat up each other so much that it is almost rare to have undefeated team in SEC by the end of the season and in turn they are hurting each other from radar of National Championship. Even mighty LSU couldn't do it last year who killed OKies in Sugar bowl. From Espn to Sports Illustrated Sports writer all agree that SEC is the toughest one. Well, Auburn seems to have one good year in every 10 years;). Last time Auburn played in a championship game was 1957. We should have gone to national Chamiponship when we were 12-0 in 1993 but due to NCAA sanction we were not allowed any bowl games. It is always fun to have some smack talk about football. ;)

Too many complications.. that's why I don't watch college level sports.. LOL:P It's better to follow up with NFL... Steelers will steal the SB this year. No one can defeat this team, looking at the way they are playing.

Dear AX, GOOD research...so you know now little more about College Football now. That's good for you.. You wrote "I don't know anything about SEC." on the same line you wrote "I dunno how can you say SEC is better than other conferences." Does that make sense??? If you don't know SEC how can you compare SEC with other conference???? Few more information for you... In order to get bowl bid Team has to win at least 6 game... Below is major conference which has at least 6 win already as of this week. SEC - 7 team with at least 6 win ACC - 5 Team BIG 12 - 6 Team Big EAST - 3 Team BIG 10 - 6 Team Conf USA - 3 Team

I do not watch as many SEC games as I used to. That's the reason I can not say much about the SEC conf. It's not i didn't see glimpse of Aubirn - LSU, Tenn - Florida, Tenn- georgia game. I am not an ignorant football fan who won't know wots going in Coolege FB around the nation. I never used to like PAC 10 before, now since moving to west I kinda starting to appreciate this conf as well. I won't miss the oppurtunity to see Big 12 and Big 10 and some ACC conf games. and what is so disappointing about Big 10 and big 12 conf. They have 6 teams with at least 6 wins per you. BTW did you find out which PAC 10 team was it??? rookie College FB fan??? i hope not....

As Always you are mistaken again MR. AX, I had been an OU fan/critic/whatever all season long, still am and will be to the end. If you can, Please DO a little favor by COmbining CTRL C and CTRL V keys to reflect my support for OSU!!! Dude, I am a football fan first and OU fan second. I am gonna give credit to whatever team does good. IF it was your CornHuskers doing good/great.. I surely would have given them the credit they deserve regardless of which team I root for. got it?? AUburn Tigers are playing a solid football so I cannot disregard their achievements. On the same line USC and OU had been doing whatever challenges they were faced with. It was just those two games against TExas A&M and Oklahoma State (Champions 2 years back, Both teams were/are ranked and are divisonal rivalries) where the SOOners seemingly struggled (but won), and people started pointing fingers at them. Okie.. that's fair enough.. but come on DIDn't the other teams struggled also? USC had few come from behind wins as well. It took last minute heroics for them to beat Stanford (unranked) . TIgers almost lost the game against the other TIGers from LSU. I do not understand why people do not talk about USC ... I really am surprised. I guess it's the hype from last year. People do not talk about Auburn either (when I say talk, I meant downgrading a team's BCS ranking). That's because when they beat LSU, LSU were ranked #4 and that was consdiered to be an upset. And of course Last Saturday's win against Bulldogs did boost their standing by a lot. See, where all the teams that played against USC, OU and AU stand now and by the end of the season. We all had realized by now that LSU didn't deserve that high standing, it was just the preseason ranking that helped their cause. Actually, LSU won their season opener against Oregon State in the last minute. However, it was good FOR Auburn that LSU had such a superior ranking. THe whole ranking thing is kinda messed up. This season SEC had been Awesome.. one cannot say the same about them for last how many years?? During the last decade CHECK which conference had won or represented in the Natioal Championship game most of the time.... SEC is seemingly competitive. However, Big 12 is right behind them. To do more comparisons and analysis about the TOP 3 teams.. here are Some important TEams Stat.s through November 16. Team Rush Pass Total PF PA Margin OU 204.3 259.3 463.6 35.6 16.1 19.5 AU 201.4 229.9 431.3 34.2 9.3 24.9 USC 179.5 255.3 434.8 37.1 11.6 25.5 Tigers defense is the most intense. Sooners offense is the most explosive.Win margin is the best for Trojans. SO, what to make out of this stat.?? And let's see how many teams from each conference (Big 12, Pac 10 and SeC) are ranked within top 25 by BCS. this is an overall standing not just on the COACHES poll (posted by someone else above). BIG 12 = 4: Oklahoma (2), Texas (5), Texas A & M (20), Oklahoma State (22), SEC = 4: Auburn (3), Georgia (11), LSU (16), Tennessee (17) PAC 10 = 3: USC (1), California (4), ASU (14) So, which conference is most competitive?? SEC (maybe..) As of now I rank AUBRUN #1( don't assume I am rooting for AU now. you won't rank your C'Huskers on top ..would ya??) , Oklahoma #2 and USC #3. How many of you would agree or disagree? and why?? And oh yeah... SEE THE BC eagles flying high...... GO SOONERS GO. Jai Nepal

I have not done the better job last couple weeks. Too many suprises every week, that's why Football is the #1 sports in america. Here's my pick for coming sunday....... Lions vs Vikings >>>>>> Lions (harrington will have career no) Broncos vs Saints >>>>> Broncos (Bronocs are more well balanced team) 49ers vs Bucs >>>>>>>>> Bucs (little better than 49ers) Cardinals vs Panthers > Panthers (2 win a row for NFC champs???) Titans vs Jags >>>>>>>> Titans (both starting QB are hurt, titans need to win to make playoffs) Cowboys vs Ravens >>>>> Cowboys (they need to win else expect Tuna's resignation) Rams vs Buffs >>>>>>>>> Rams (Buffs defense can't hold rams offense) Colts vs Bears >>>>>>>> Colts (colts offense and Urlacher absence) Steelers vs Bengals >>> Steelers (so far the best team in the league) Jets vs Browns >>>>>>>> Jets (Quincy will have better game, Curtis is still da man) Chargers vs Raiders >>> Chargers (what raiders hooligans going to do??? Expect disturbance during the game) Dolphins vs Seahawks >> Seahawks (down in Miami, coach wasn?t the problem, but too many quitters in that team) Falcons vs Giants >>>>> Falcons (Hamilton and Strahan are not playing, expect Vick to have monstrous running game) Redskins vs Eagles >>>> Eagles (the best and the worst teams in the NFS East) Packers vs Texans >>>>> Packers (you can?t count out Packers when Favre is still throwing the ball, Ahman Green day???) Pats vs Chiefs >>>>>>>> Chiefs (pats have weak secondary and Chiefs got too many options in offense) What you guys think of MNF steamy segment of Terrell Owens with actress Nicollette Sheridan? And Tony Dungy?s take on it, being black and white???

Auburn took care of Alabama in Iron Bowl so it would be interesting to see how polls would be tomorrow. No undefeated SEC Champion has been left out of National Championship and if Auburn wins the SEC Championship in two week against Tennessee(another ranked team), I do not see Oklahoma would be able to hold Auburn from being number 2. It would be demise of BCS sooner or later if the Champion of the most powerful conference is left out. They are already talking about scrapping pre-season rankings. Anyways..War Eagle!!! ___________________________________________ 1.Dallas at Baltimore ->Ravens 2.St. Louis at Buffalo ->Rams 3. Arizona at Carolina -> Panthers 4.Indianapolis at Chicago -> Colts 5.Pittsburgh at Cincinnati -> Steelers 6.N.Y. Jets at Cleveland ->Jets 7.Tennessee at Jacksonville ->Jaguars 8.Detroit at Minnesota -> Vikings 9.Denver at New Orleans -> Broncos 10.San Francisco at Tampa Bay ->Buccaneers 11.San Diego at Oakland ->Chargers 12.Miami at Seattle ->SeaHawks 13.Atlanta at N.Y. Giants ->That's what I am talking about..finally Eli is a starting QB. But Vick Rulz!! Vick All Da Way!! 14.Washington at Philadelphia ->Eagles 15.Green Bay at Houston ->Packers 16.New England at Kansas City ->Patriots Go Auburn!! Go Falcons!!

This Weekend as any other weekends was full of football madness. It was hard to see Michigan get knocked down by the Buckeyes. thier ROse Bowl hopes...... Sooners were impressive again. they were able to make an statement for themselves as the BCS champion contender. Despite all the RUMORS/controversies around the NCAA they shut down the rival Baylor. 35-0 score was enough to close their gap with #1 Trojans in the BCS overall standing (esp. AP and Coaches Poll). They were terrific both on Ground and on AIr. That game might have some Heisman implications. A. Peterson had the edge over Jason White. IF TRojans do not win their remaining games with very comfortable margins .. given that Auburun beats Tennessee pretty convincingly.. they can be on hot seat also. Sooners should win the BIG 12 TITLE game against CU/ISU very comfortably. And that should help their cause in terms of AP/Coaches poll. It can be another disapponting season for the AUburn Tigers even if they beat the Volunteers. USC is a big favorite against both NOtre Dame and UCLA. Well... one can expect the Fighting IRish to give A good shot against the TRojans as they did against the Wolverines. Yet, There aren't many reasons why USC Shouldn't beat Notre Dame or UCLA. And they don't have to play the Conference Championship. Which is a big adavantage for them because California Golden Bears are more than capable of pulling the upset (On OCt. 9th they lost by 6 points only). This leaves AUburn out of ORange bOwl contention. It really is going to be a sad season for them. THe TIgers win against the Alabama Crimson TIde didn't help their cause by much either. Despite the bitter rivalry of these two schools, Alabama was unranked and came into the game with a mediocre 6-4 record. From POLLIng stand point That wasn't a very impressive win for the tIgers. While their nearest rival (OU in terms of BCS ranking) had an outstanding game, the Tigers trailed the Crimson Tides going to the Halftime. they won by a final score of 21-13, which isimpressive in terms of a comeback win yet not impressive enough to gain any grounds in the BCS ranking. ONly an upset Against Trojans or the Sooners might help the Tigers at this point. After watching Auburn struggle against ALAbama... I doubt they will beat the Volunteers. Even if they did, that will be a very close game. Oh.. THis friday.. another bitter rivalry THE BUFFS against the c-Huskers. Huskers are already out of BIg 12 #2 seed contentio(sorry fellas) so they will try their best to stop THE Buffs from getting there. Yet, after all that happened to CU organization this gone off-season Coach Barnett will definitely like to have this game. GO SOONERS Jai NEpal
