@Bathroom
Your whole statement is so full of contradictions. Almost like mine.

I agree with Nepali laure, people have right to call anybody sarkar, just as much as others have the right to judge them. Somebody called somebody sarkar and another person made a comment, you came and belittled the person who made that comment. Everybody is within their rights, much like you are. Now, blaming this on Nepali mentality is the most deprecating thing stated in this whole post; hence my point about contradiction.

Nepalilaure, yep. I have seen that instance too. It's like how darshans work in the inner circle and for everybody else, namaskaar...ke chha.

Above it all, I still see the "Sarkar" usage as strange; that's all.

BC,
may be it was not the right word to use 'judging somene', im not so good in english vocabulary. It is not about Judging someone as judges do in court, like handing out a verdict to be implemented.  But, yes i can form a perception about people by observing their behavior, SAMAJIK CHALAN etc. And, you may not agree with me, but I have seen most of the people using their perception of another person's observed behavior to decide  a form of relationship they want to maintain with that person even though they may claim that they are indifferent to how other people do their things.

 Kiddo,
The point I am trying to make here is-->  Ok I called someone Sarkar in public(which is perfectly within my individual right).
Now if a judge comes and questions me--> That would be direct violation of my individual right brought to Nepali People by Doouqwashi(circa 1989-1990, remember a lot of people died for this freedom). You cannot be selective on limiting freedom, it is for everyone. That is my point.

When people do not have to be held accountable they will become animals and that is proven time and again in sajha.

If everyone was to use their real facebook account, not many will be too quick to say the same things. Most people who say sarkar sarkar and do chamchagiri probably do so because at some point in time they hope that Sarkar will give them some daan dakshina, not in the form of cash but some favor at some point in time. Perhaps they believe their social status is higher just by being able to communicate with Paras or be included in Paras' friends circle in facebook. Or maybe some of them want to pick up a piece of Paras' shit and do puja on it.

No matter what it is, they have every right to do whatever they want. There are billions of people praying to an inexistent God with imaginary super powers so calling and praising a living breathing ex-Prince is nothing to be surprised about. The same way everyone can have positive or negative opinions about whether someone calls Paras Sarkar, Paras Raja or simply Parasey. Whatever it is, we still have to see how Paras makes it back from the face of death. Some people have changed after having near death experience and some haven't. We will just have to wait and see.

I found someone's accusation of being judgmental very ironic, specially when he turns around and passes his own judgment to the other guy as paranoid with asinine sense of priority. This is getting funny.

Kiddo
"I have seen that instance too. It's like how darshans work in the inner circle and for everybody else, namaskaar...ke chha."

i think you got part of my comment. Ok , I can accept that far. It is perfectly ok within a family/relatives and lets says its ok to Darshan someone and just Namaskar to others.

But, the problem is with my comment in 2nd paragraph. Army/Police/Nijamati hakims (especially hakims wives called Rani Saheb). Lower staff are indirectly forced in using such words to address them as if they are personal slaves. It is like hamro buda ekdam imandar hunu huncha, afai ghus magnu hunna, lyaera diye pachi ta ke garne !

'calling my name while traveling toward the light through the tunnel'
His encounter with his divine, am sure, this guy will be a changed person very soon.

And, he had my prayers(wasn't based on any prejudice, or who he was but as one soul to another) as well, wasn't sure but all of our prayers did work, glad to hear he's opening eyes with new understanding of life.

We can't expect things to remain same when the whole universe is of mega-dynamic nature where nothing remains same in every sec. He's living his life, don't really think we should always point fingers at him. Now, lets hope he change the way he lives and regards ppls life.

Rethink,
I mostly agree what you said. Especially : "Some people have changed after having near death experience and some haven't. We will just have to wait and see."

And being called "paranoid with asinine sense of priority", I don't mind accepting such remarks. Not all people may think my view/I can be labelled with such adjectives. Afterall, most of the people are judgemental and form a perception of another person after reading their comments. The truth is that some people accept that they are judgemental others never accept it.

@nepalilaure
Wives of COAS and other higher ranking officers used to be called rani saheb. I believe they tried to remove that term few years ago. I am not sure if that's done again, but there was definately a move to eradicate such terminology in government office.

BC, I can see your point. Rethink, agreed.

Kiddo bro Paras didn't ask anyone to call him sarkar, If someone does it its upto them.  Let me give you few example of how he is: Paras along with himani and their ADC was at my friends wedding in Nepal back when he was CP,  Someone from his batch called him sarkar and he asked his classmate "don't call me sarkar, we grew up together as friends and keep it that way and call me paras". along that night after few alcohol some of his seniors started calling him "paras bhai" which we all did inside the school but his ADC gave my buddy a dirty look and Paras pulled his ADC aside and said "this is our school talk  and don't get in between".

Bootom line is if someone calls him sarkar thats their interest but was not forced,
Glad paras is well and started updating his facebook page

I typically do not reply in such threads that instigate controversies that are uncalled for, but this was mighty interesting. We all are entitled to our opinions and we all have our beliefs, despite good arguments deliberated against us. With that being said, I am not trying to put forth a biased judgment here, nor that I am trying to delve only on the negative aspects of Paras.
But before expounding what I believe in, I had this lengthy discourse with my mother over skype last month.
‘I feel bad for him, he has little kids and wife; may he live’ was what my mother said.
Now, there Is nothing wrong with it. She is a good soul, she sympathized someone close to death. But little did she know (or at least was completely oblivious at that time) that the very person she is praying for abandoned his wife and kids and stayed with a girlfriend, consumed marijuana, vandalized an apartment, stopped taking medication and then had a cardiac arrest. It is not that he was trying to help a poor soul and got run over by a bus. What we need to understand is that the bonding, love, kinship in our family is completely different with Paras’s family. He has so much wealth and power and sidekicks, he doesn’t need a mom to kiss his forehead every morning or a wife to give him a backrub after he returns from a hard day work. If it is still not clear to many, our version of LOVE is different than his.
And this reply is to the facebook poster Miss Bhandari - you need to discern between a good judge of character and a fool that finds pleasure in negativity. Your point would have been valid for someone like Tiger Woods, maybe (even though I have issues with forgiving him sometimes), but here we are speaking of Paras Shah - the effing monster that never changed. Just when we started sympathizing, he came off with his stupid immoral shenanigans and proved us wrong ‘numerous times’ and will continue to do so.

If Paras had abandoned his misdeeds and became a humanitarian for at least few years and then had a cardiac arrest, believe me, I would be the first person to start a thread in his support.

@Himalaya
You came to spring into the defense of Paras but didn't care to read what I write, it seems. Where did I hold Paras responsible for the "sarkar" title that people are using? Before you go in length about describing him, let me tell you I have a good deal of information on CP. Let me end it there before we have a full-on discussion and I start revealing too many things about my personal life.

 Well said behoove_me....I have no sympathy for spoilbrat like Paras. That said, if he changed his behavior and repent for his past deed then I won't have any problem.

Thank you Rahasya,

When I read few of the contents of this thread, I just couldn't believe we could be so naive. This guy was an arrogant monster, he has history of wrongdoings (now that means I do not think he killed the royal family as many of us believe) and he suffers a cardiac arrest not because of running on a treadmill, not because of family history (well maybe), or helping poors in rural Nepal BUT imbibing alcohol beyond limits, drug abuse, vandalism and every forbidden misdeeds and some of us start entering our best wishes in public forums.

I couldn't find a single example of he doing something good, except smile at some awestruck onlooker or hushing his ADC who was a little worked up on someone not calling him 'sarkar'. If those stupid examples make him a great human being who's good health is sought by many, then given my vices - I am no less than Gautam Buddha.

Rather than flipping sides and making fitful and rash decisions, we Nepalese need thorough introspection. Forgiving one crime is generosity, forgiving two crimes is magnanimity, but forgiving multiple crimes and repeat behaviors is stupidity.

After witnessing many accounts of families of murder/rape victim forgiving suspects while serving jury duty or having read those stories on the news, (not saying they all do) but I simply find no place to comment back in this narrowmindedness, where forgiveness is regarded as stupidity. Some people do forgive with their full consciense, it takes godly strength to do so when it has happened to them.
