During my visit to Pasupatinath, I got a chance to take picture of the emerging Kali who seems to be halfway exposed.
According to legends, this statue is supposed to gradually come out and once it comes up to it's feet, it will be a signal of the end of the civilization.
I was wondering how true that legend is. Does anyone have any pictures from the past so that we can compare if it actually has emerged from before.

Dear Bittertruth,
I just wanted to let you know that I am enlightened by your superior intelligence. I did not know that the use of words like "could" "might" "maybe" by scientists make them facts and such possibilities can be conveyed to other people as evidence. I hope to have a scientific acumen like you someday. Thank you!
Back to the topic,
@chaurey, uprooting the statue is not enough. According to the myth I was told, the Kalki needs to take 3 steps for the world to end. So I guess we have sometime to rejoice. :)

One good way to make it come soon is to erect a statue of goddess bending down in front of the Kalki. It might hasten the process up a little.

There is an estimated 400+billion galaxies out there, 200 billion stars alone in the Milky Way. I'm not making this stat again. I'm not someone with superior intelligence(lol) ,was just mentioning that was published in papers. So the chances there is life out there is inevitable. Likely we will know in the near future, improbable. Till then, lets not mock researchers behind SETI and Drake equation trying to find lifes out there. They do know, lifes out there, it's just whole bunch of religious fanatics and critics like you —one of the reasons being— to whom they want to answer with evidence of their findings. Well, universe is really vast and unimaginably infinite big, if there wasn't any life, it'll be an awful waste of space(not exact quote but it was catchy to say). It is simply hard to digest that we're the only one planet with life. I once again adamantly say, there are millions of planets out there with civilizations. Sometimes you've to listen to your voice(heart) :D
